LOGIN SCREEN on client
when im on the server selection and then selected the Venus server and choosing the channel i cannot connect to the channel what should be the fix for this ....

FreeTDS isn't installed correctly. I have heard of a few reports of this problem but i cannot make it happen myself. I suspect there is an error showing up when cabal_install.sh is being run but i can't get anyone who has reported the problem to configm.

Try manually installing the freetds rpm.

Guys , as u see i have WAN and LOCAL IP that are the same ... i couldn`t find any solutions by myself so i`m asking you to help me .
1) i`m using VMware on my pc (Vista and CentOS)
2) so , basicaly i have 2 different IP`s active on each OS ( .187 for vista nad .185 for CentOS)
3) If i change the IP on CentOS ( for example to 184 ( my ISP has some free IP`s lately ;) ) then both WAN and LOCAL ip adresses changes to ....184 .
Can someone tell me where is the problem ?

next step is configuring the server

chumpy how can i edit the rates and also in your files what are things needed to be fix?

At the top of the screenshot it is saying that "cabal" is an unrecognised service so something hasn't installed properly i think. If you type "service cabal status" it will probably be the same so try installing the cabal rpm manually. Your config looks ok as the centos machine has a direct connection to the internet which is perfect.

Check my sticky in the help section as it shows where to edit rates. In terms of fixes the biggest problem at the moment is durationidx's acting up and i will be working on that this weekend as i have been too busy this week to put much time into cabal :/ Using a plain GP client (or US + darkxl's login patch) and the const.scp and product.scp from darkxl's files on the server the durationidx's will be ok but you will run into a few d/c problems buying things and a few other areas, using SAUR0N's patch in the GP or US client will be more crash proof but durationidx's will act up.

Chumpy, i was cofigured as the write on GUIDES
and i can't create acconut on GM Tools :(
Also server works fine (if I write something pass, they show DON't MATCH)

How create acc?
Btw. I bad config xp.mod5.dll, how to fix that?

A broken xp_md5 config will cause this as the account passsword isn't being stored correctly. Open your "master" database and find xp_md5 in the Extended Procedures folder and check the path to the .dll is correct, if not delete the entry and re-add it:

Also check the permissions on the .dll file to make sure that the "everyone" group has read access to it at least as i have seen a few installs where that has caused problems.

googled it => downloaded a rmp install file => opened it on my CentOS => couldn`t install those because i`m missing some other files that needs to be installed before this pack .

My files are set up for centos 4.6 or later and it sounds like you are using centos 5 which has a lot of stuff missing by default. My install script specifically asks you if you are using the centos version it expects and if you say no it will use the centos 5 install method so i'm guessing you answered wrong when running cabal_install.sh.

The server was designed for centos 4 but you can use the later version. I tend to recommend it because centos 5 has much more missing on a default install and for centos 4 you only need CD 1 and CD 2 so the download is smaller as well as easier to set up the cabal files on. In fact you can use the most minimal install of centos 4 (without xwindows or any GUI) and the only extra thing you need to install is qt 3.3. You can use the PH client but you might find you run into some d/c problems as some of the client data won't match the server. I'm not familiar enough with the PH client to know what is different though. The best thing to do is try it and see where problems show up and then post them and we can tell you what to edit.
