i was following this guide thumbs up btw im trying to set it up on Wserver 2003 but my ODBC are having sevre problems connecting to sql 2005 sooo..
is there a sql 2000 DB ?

At 8) i really don't know...
I am trying to find this stupid backup 1 hour still can't find it it's so lame.
And its not under C:/ coz then i see program files, windows,Documents and Settings etc.
I tried C:/ program files then SQL server then the 3rd then i see data shitz but its not in there too. :S
Where i can find it that KN_online........

wesley, the only MSSQL2000 DBs I know are 1098 bro.

@unnamedxd, I'm assuming you're talking about the database backup. The database backup is in the Server Files folder. It's packed into a .RAR archive called Yeni Klasor(with a funky o). Extract that Yeni Klasor archive to C:\. Then, when you try finding it to restore it on the list thingy, change Files of Type to Any, and you should find your database(By_Piskod Db1) in C:\Yeni Klasor\.

I found the by_pistod but then i click ok it says :

14)Go to your Server Start Files, aka Login Server, AiServer, Ebenezer, and Aujard folders.

15)Go to your Login Server. Edit your Version.ini in there so that it looks like the following:
aiserver, ebenezer, Aujard ?
Ehmm i don't see a map there named server.

The database is not called KN_online. The database backup I provided was called By_Piskod Db1. That database is packed in the .RAR archive called Yeni Klasor, which is in the Server Files folder.

ComputerName\SQLEXPRESS\Databases. KN_online shouldn't be under databases. You have to make it yourself. Follow teh guide :)

)Right-click the databases folder. Press "New Database..." Name it KN_online, then press ok. Located at <ComputerName>\SQLEXPRESS->Databases in your Server Management Studio

8)Go back to your Server Management Studio. In the Restore Database Window, tick "From Device". Then click the "..." button next to "From Device". Press "Add". On "Files of Type:", put "All Files*". Then, look for your database. It should be under "C:\". When you've found it, click on it, and press "OK". You should be back to Restore Database Window. Tick the "Restore" check next to "kn_online backup" dadadada stuff. Now, on the top left, there should be 2 tabs: General and Options. Go to Options. Tick the check next to "Overwrite the existing database". Then click "OK".

Go to Start->All Programs->Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools->SQL Server Configuration Manager

A new window should pop-up. It should have a small left panel, and a large right panel. On the left panel, highlight SQL Server 2005 Services.

2 Results should pop-up on the right-side. One is titled 'SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)' and the other one is 'SQL Server Browser'. Make sure they are both Running, under the state column, and their start mode is automatic.

If there start mode is not automatic, right-click the row, and press Properties. A new small window should pop-up with 3 tabs. Press the Service Tab. Look down to start mode, and change it to Automatic. Press Apply, then OK.

If it is not running, right-click it, and press Start.

After that's done, try connecting.

Everytime i try to run and exe like loginserver or ai it just says.

"Data source name not found and no default driver specificated."

My configs are exactly how you said but the ips are 127.0.0.1

Not just that, but wanted to let you guys in on something i recently found out. When setting up odbc connections, if you are having issues with slow connection times, switch over to the sql native client odbc driver. This fixed my issue right away.

Um i got the server working, GREAT job btw omega, really great job, just 1 question, how do i make myself an admin??? or gm or get good items to start out with? i figured out the whole changing my lvl, givin myself more np and all that jazz on the database itself, i was wandering how to make it where ingame i can do like anything...?

Go to userdata, find the row of the user you wanna set GM to, and change their authority column value to 0. More NP = Change Loyalty column.

BTW, I may choose not to give you database fixes if you PM me on MSN. So, yeah. Don't shit a brick if I deny you.

Check your version.INI and/or your KN_online ODBC. Your version.ini uses ODBC KN_online. If that is not set up correctly, that could be the #1 cause. Also, if you didn't follow how the version.ini was set up on the first page, then that might be the problem, too.

P.S. - Found like 2 of my works on some other turkish forums with NO credits to be found. So, I guess no more releases for a while.
