all my inis with ip from watismyip.
checked users and passwords all correct.
all ips user and passwords in all server files are right, using the db given.
i got 1299 client using ip as 127.0.0.1 or my external ip, in server.ini at client doesnt work.
keeps saying failed to login to server.
yes i got my ports forwarded at the given list above, yes its tcp/udp as given.
dont reply with retarded questions like: *did u double check everything*.

just give me a clear answer:/
i aint a noob just new with this kind of emu.

Try using your computer IP. For the Login Server//Version.ini, put the IP you get from "whatsmyip.org". For the Ebenezer//GameServer.ini, look near the top section for the Login Server IP, and put that as the "whatsmyip.org" IP. Then, go through each other IP in your INIs and change them into the IP you get from going to "Run->cmd->ipconfig".

That's what I did to get mines local.

the "midnighter.ath.cx" is my IP, it's just redirected with a DNS name.
I'll try putting in the raw data, maybe it doesn't like redirections.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Conclusions I can come up with:

1) Check again

2) Turn off any firewalls you have.

i've done everything (i think haha )

but when i click to join my server, it says connecting pls wait and doesn't do anything....then i keep clicking it and i get log server failed error everytime.

fix to this?

You guys made sure you have correct IP in client?
And I don't think DNS will work..
And @ errors.. Remember to start em in correct order.

again dont ask Special person questins, yes i got correct ip. dns works fine ebenezer and all poop can conect fine, checked users and all that.

it does says cannot find procedure xxxx in the login server log and a few column errors. but that doesnt explain why i get failed connecting. the db is not wrong i tryed it with 3 others aswell. maybe the server files?

u dont got the MAP folder in it, copy 1 from ebenezer and paste it.

Thx for the great tutorial, i think i got it working. There is one mayor problem though, the client 1299 from the third link contains a virus!! (Trojan horse PSW.Agent.STG, detected with AVG 8) Can this link be replaced by a link to an infection free client?

Everything works great!
With the exception of the Client it has a Virus...
Trojan horse PSW.Agent.STG
Anyone tell me how to get a client (Version 1.299)...
Without a Virus...?

Leave the default path alone. For server name, change it to whatever you want. PM Me, I think your IPs are wrong...

I'm sorry, but I cannot help you with this. I don't have your router, and if it's not on that portforwarding site I posted, then I dunno how to help you. I would suggest searching it on google.com

I was told that all v1298 launchers [Launcher.exe, KnightOnLine.exe, and whatever else you name it] all have like dead trojans, and it was used by GMs to check for outside illegal programming and cheating. Hell, it even appeared on my anti-virus, but I left it alone. If that trojan was in the launcher or knightonline.exe, disregard it. If it was in another file, I'll try to get you a "clean" version of that file. However, I scanned my client before launching, and I only got that dead trojan thingy. So, I'm pretty sure you guys got the infected launcher. If you still don't believe me, find another client.

Alright, everything is set up and working...

so after running the four .exe and such should it automatically load the v129x client or what do i do to get the game up and running...
