A little Update on myself. RaGESCAPE 317 2.0 is also underway, even though I haven't made a thread about it. As some may have known, a while back, my then half done source was wiped in a corruption of my phone's memory card(My only flash drive). Since then I hadn't really done much, being angry at the fact that I hadn't backed up my data. Well after my work has stopped molesting me (I was getting constant 50-55 hour work weeks) I took a rest to enjoy life. Now I'm back in action, and I'm already making great progress. When I've gotten to a certain point, I'll go ahead and create an update thread as well. I am Not using the Jolt Environment, as I am continuing to support Java to the fullest (No hard feelings, AJ).
Expect some more details soon, as I'm well underway... I'm gonna try and update my signature updates more until then.

Sounds pretty epic.
I must say, this'd be a huge boost for RaGEScape and RaGEZONE, since a lot of the features are already unique.. and this is only a framework.
I'm loving the idea of keeping the game a challenge AJ, thats awesome and I'd also like to see that in the 317 Daniel. |

Been working on a "item" container all day long :P
Taking a bit, cause im trying to think this all out. But in the end, this container will be used for banking, inventory, and equipment so should be top shape

The reason why 90%+ of most servers lose accounts / items is cause they store the information in a binary / flat file which had a capacity limit so if more things were tried to be added, it wouldn't be able to and rewrite some of the information already stored within the fie. Unlike this, we are storing our information on mysql and whatever is enter, STAYS untill it's removed / altered.

Also, the information is recieved/sent quicker via a MySQL database.

Haven't done much today, and im going out for the whole day and returning tomorrow evening.
Most of today, I've just been researching and looking into improving some things that have been bothering me for a while. Things that are still using "older" and "inefficient" technology.
Some of which i plan to change:
- TCP connection
- REMOTE connection (TCP > HTTP and TCP < HTTP)
- Stream / Packet handling
- Configuration database
I'll do some more thinking and move forward onto improving these things

I can't make an EXACT release date, but if i had to: it would probably be beta testing in the first quarter (Q1) or 2010

Also, server was being receiving DDOS attacks so niether daniel or frank could access the dedi - server is back up now though, enjoy.

Although I don't have a specific release date, I've thought out how server tests will be made (did this before i went to sleep)
Aplha: Moderators / Administrators allowed ONLY
Closed Beta: Donators / Moderators / Administrators - and after a few days i will allow invites for closed beta
Open Beta: everyone
and then final release.
Please note that thoughout the beta server, all accounts will be wiped when final release. Though, anyone who is willing to go on the closed beta / open beta server and find a bug or glitch etc, will get donator for 3 months or so. Keeping in mind the improvements that donators will get :P
