How To -Setup Pangya Server-
(Simple Guide For Beginners)

This is a Simple Guide on how to setup your own PangYa Server.
I Wrote this Guide, feel free to use it anywhere, but credit to me please.

Lets Get Started.

Install mssql2000 as default, make sure you have Enterprise Manager. (Part of mssql2000)


Go Ahead and open enterprise Manager.

You will see this:

See the Small +? Click it until you see something like this.



Right Click (Where it says Right click here)

• New Database.
• Name DB ' Bn_Game '
• New Database
• Name ' Bn_Account '
• New Database
• Name ' PY_Billing '

Right Click The DB you named BN_Game, Click ' All Tasks ', then 'Restore Database'.

• Select From Device.
• Then Select Device.
• Go to where you Placed PangYa Server Files
• Select Id_Bn_Py_Game_test backup File.
• Ok until you see an options tab. [LGKeiz]
• Move to physical file name, Enter Desired Location (server files) [LGKeiz]

Ok, so remember those other 2 Databases that you created? They are called:

BN_Account
PY_Billing

You will want to do EXACTLY the same with those other 2 DB's.

• Go to PangYa Server Files
• Open Folder ' Game Server'
• There should be a .ini file.
• Open it with Notepad.
• See The IP Numbers?
• Replace them with your own. [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]

In Enterprise Manager, Go back To the DB 'BN_Game' Open Tables , Right Click(PangYa Server List), Open Table, Then Return All Rows.



Instead of Selecting sysusers You should be able to select PangYaServerList.

There is ANOTHER IP Number, just like the ones in the previous step, do exactly the same , change it to your own IP [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]

• Go to ' Security'
• Then Logins
• See where it says 'sa' ?
• Right Click, New Login
• Enter a Name + Password.

Then Server Roles , check the following (Ignore the Description in my pic)

• Go to the next tab. (Database Access)
• Check BN_Game, BN_Account, PY Billing.
• Under each one , check DB_Owner
• Then enter the password that you chose earlier.

• Go to control panel. (From Start Bar)
• Then Administrative tools.
• Data Sources (ODBC)
• System DSN (Tab)
• Add
• Scroll Down to the option ' SQL Server'
• Click It.
• Enter The Name of your First DB , which is BN_Game.
• Check Windows NT Authentication....
• Change the default Satabase to BN_Game

Remember those other 2 DBs Called BN_Account + PY_ Billing?
From where we went to Control Panel, Do the same , only where you wrote BN_Game
Write BN_Account, and then again, only this time write PY_Billing.

24] Go to your Pangya Server Files, Open the servers

25] Edit all the IP's in the configs ( Loginserver IP,etc )

26] In the Gameserver config change the port from 10101 to 10102

27] Open the server in this order:

1] AuthServer

2] LoginServer

3] RankServer ( Fix is at the bottom of the post. )

4] GameServer

( when each is done loading type in "start" in the command promp ( without the " " ) and click enter )

That last part is from LGKeiz Guide, I did NOT Write that last part, so thanks to LGKeiz.

Server side seems alright. No errors found. But couldn't deal with client to
check it out with.
Client & Web guide linked seems pretty outdated,
and PEID 0.94 can't find it's way to unpack projectg.exe enclosed in your client.

Can you help?

Im not sure why you can't unpack the client...I'll try doing it myself now, and let you know if i have any problems doing it, or how you might solve it.

EDIT: I had no trouble extracting the client from my upload, i was using WinRAR v3.71

Perhaps if you try using that?

I know LGKeiz guide can be hard to follow, i would ask him about it myself but as far as i know he doesnt check up here any more. Probably too busy with LegacyGamers.

unpacking archive wasn't problem. what I meant was your client seems to be in the original form and needs to be hexed(change IP/Kill Game guard/Kill updater) in order to connect to my own server. have you tried modifying projectg.exe yourself?

Debugging? why would you want to be doing that?

I used UltraEdit to hex ProjectG.exe.

projectg.exe itself is packed and encrypted.

Download official client version 3.12a.

to disable Update start projectg with command -babo
i.e.) projectg.exe -babo

It didn't make any difference whether Game Guard is on or not.

There are 3 IPs listed just like those listed in post from LGKeiz
211.233.70.22:3129 -> Directing somewhere in Japan
203.116.196.89 -> Asiasoft
61.33.65.101 -> somewhere in korea
127.0.0.1 -> localhost
Even changing everything pointing 127.0.0.1, won't pass through login server.
(It says it cann't find it)

At first, I thought you have modified DBs and server side since you've posted
Season2 client with it. Anyway although Server files you've posted are for Season1,
I was hoping to get pass through login server at least, guess I wasn't lucky.
