First - Thank You for great tutorial Monolith.
Now my problem :
I have mangosd.conf and realmd.conf with edited BindIP
BindIP = "XXXXX.dyndns.org" (where XXXXX is my DynDns name).
I change realmd database (SQLyog as a tool) in address cell to my XXXXX.dyndns.org
address.
All needed ports are setup correctly on my router.
(necessary ports : 8085,3724
optional ports : 6**** 6881to69*** 3306, 3443, 8129, 8093, 3036, 8050, 3727)
MiniManager for XAMPP works perfectly (locally and from Internet).
Server works grate via Internet - no problem here - but - I can't log-in
to server from my local network.
Each time when I pass login screen, WoW shows Realm Selection windows list
(I can see there are 2 characters for this account) - I press Okay button and client
try to connect to realm, then I have message "Logging to game server" and I get
back to Realm Selection window.
After reading forum for the past 2 days (with little breaks for coffee)
I get general idea it is a problem with logging to realm - so I change
realmd.conf and mangosd.conf for many different IP settings but no success.
I can log in to the realm from my LAN only when I put my local server IP
in to the realmd database, of course I can't log from internet this way.
My question is - do You Have any idea what values and where to put them
to achieve working server for WAN (Internet connection Users) an LAN
(my desktop computer) as well ???
Maybe I should edit hosts file either on the server or client machine ?
One more note : Server Machine for WOW and My Desktop Computer are
to different physical computers.
Looking forward for any helpful information.
Try setting BIND IP"" to your WAN instead of your DNS....
As in 76.56.47.255 instead of XXXXX.dyndns.org
