Click your start menu, click on Run.. type in the box: %SystemRoot%\system32\odbcad32.exe

Click system DNS tab > add > scroll down the list and select SQL server >
next name your DNS "RYLauth" and select your server eather local or the server name that is named after your PC if you havent changed it when installing MSSQL
In the next window select SQL server authentication and for login ID put SA and the pass you selected when installing MSSQL
Next window check the "change default database to" and select (in this case) RYLauth from the list click next and finish, on the window that pops up you can test your connection with sql.
im stuck here when i put in the id and pass and click next it says it cant connect :/

Sry for stupid noobie questions...
But i dont know what ip i schould use for publik gaming.
At the moment i use my Lan IP 192.168.xxx.xx
But my friend has also a Router and also a 192.168 IP.
So what should i do now?
I dont know witch ip looback is, when i type in ipconfig /all (maybe its displayed in Germany).:crash:
I also dont know how to forward ports so guys i really need your help!

Its simple... Over the internet you have to use your internet IP cause thats whats your router is assigned with.. Then the router forwards it to the LAN computers which is a totally different network invisible from out the LAN..
Thats why you have to tell to the router to send all traffic to your server PC in the LAN..
I hope that cleared up some things..

Use your wanip (webip as you call it) everywhere in the setup tool (DemonSetup.ini)
Make sure you have a MS LoopBack

help! can some1 tell me why is my auth server status say "disconnected with agent server" but when i checked my agent server it is running.

check IP's also start them in this order

Login Server
UID Server
DB Agent Server
Auth Server
Chat Server

Map(8, 12)

I mean I got another pc, I try to connect to the server via WAN ip locally, there will be no connection to the login server but if I connect to the server via the local ip, there will be the connection but I still can't login to the server. There will be the error message 'Connection to the auth server lost'. How to set the server for local and wan?

If you want to play local you can use your server PC as an internet gateway
I explained before how this can be done but you have to know what ur doing..

So u need Sp3 or can ya get Sp4. IF your gonn half way you should just go the whole way right? Another is I cannot get my SQL to work with me here. An I'm sure that is a pretty important part of this server uptime

I'm up an running. Woohoo. Few probs though Chatserver up an running but not able to send recive in game play with others. Not sure where to do GM commands from within my in game character, How do I make my ingame character a GM? And the AdminToolClient.exe Doesn't do anything even though i'm logged in with it properly. AndIs there a way to update the game from 553 to 556 an if so is there a point? Will the server still run on a 556 client if I change the chksum and version number? After these are answered I'll be 100% up an running.

start from 0 again, should works
if i can´t sell al thing happing, i can´t tell what exataly is wrong.
start from 0 really and realy letter buy letter do not jump nothing. should works
