Attempting to setup a server using v97 SEA source

As per title. I am following this tutorial: http://forum.ragezone.com/f428/set-msea-v97-revised-version-793699/index4.html#post8837215

I get as far as step 3:

1. Goto File -> Open Script and locate SQL.sql in your source folder.

At this point, trying to run sql.sql results in the following:

Preparing...
Importing SQL.sql...
Finished executing script
ERROR 1031 (HY000) at line 4330: Table storage engine for 'alliances' doesn't have this option
Operation failed with exitcode 1

Does anyone know what is going on?

I googled the error and got this:

Does this mean I need an older version of MySQL? What version should I be using? Should I also use versions of JRE/JDK earlier than 9.01 as well?
