Unable to set up socket on login port

Hi,

I'm using a snippet of code for setting up socket to try to see if I print the data being received at the login port (8484) when I start up MapleStory, but it never makes the connection.

Anyone can explain why it never makes connection?

Why aren't you using a networking library like Coral, Netty, MINA, etc?

Oh, I'll look into it. Does it work as well for redirectors? I've seen them used in sources, but not so sure about redirectors.
