But even with the current amount of ads RaGEZONE has, I don't think it's enough to scare a guest into registering an account.
Good! The last thing we want to do is
"scare people into registering an account". We love guests and want lots of them. Preferably ones who come back to us time and time again because of the useful resources we have, even in posts, never mind files.
One day, they will come here with a really
good question that they can't find answered anywhere. Then they will register an account with us because they can see that we are friendly helpful people who answer such questions well. We don't flood their screen with adverts or force click or force people to register. We're just a bunch of nice, friendly, helpful folk that anyone would be proud to be a member of.
:
it will make people want to register an account, and then when they have an account they will feel inclined to post in some places, which would make the community more lively and active. Just my two cents.
It will make them inclined to post crap making it harder to find the useful resources RaGEZONE hosts just so they can get a high enough post count to spam peoples in-box. They will post and PM with dumb-butt questions they should be posting on the forums, or hassling people to Skype them or Sreencast or some other community destroying nonsense.
Correct, that's why we love guests and hate people who register for the wrong reasons. If you don't want to be here, please don't come. If people want to go "window shopping" that's fine. It's great fun and the prettiest windows encourage people to come in and buy / join in.
Why do liquor stores, porn shops and gambling dens have to black out their windows with advertisements? Why are clothes stores and perfumeries windows filled with exciting things to go and try.
Which would you like RaGEZONE to be? Are we targeting an *exclusive* underground and shady business or are we an open and sharing community with lots of fun things for people to come and try? :?:
If you where MentaL, which would you want to run? Hold on... you are a member, which sort of "community" do you want to be a part of? ??? I know how I would answer.
