First off many of you should of heard of Minecraft by now if you've been on YouTube in the past month or so. But let's get back to what I'm suggesting here. On Minecraft you can get on people own made servers as some of you might have known. What I'm asking is that we put Minecraft in the selection of development for servers.

There is many ways to customize your servers just like any other, But the bad thing is there is a free version of the Multi-player and there is a payed version which is called "SMP" Which stands for Survival Multi-player.This would mean that in the Minecraft Section there would have to be two forums which contain each other, One for the free version "Classic Multi-player" And another for the paid version "SMP".

This would also help the forum a bit since notch (Creator of the game) Adds forums that have the game the he made in a section of the forum. This would bring more people to Ragezone than ever before, Even if ragezone has never had a problem of getting users it would add to the numbers. Hint hint Mental more people paying for Subscriptions.

Now if some of you haven't heard of Minecraft then i'll show you some screen shots of the game and what it is.

Random Created worlds, Worlds are never the same, this is single player in minecraft, But there is a multiplayer version "SMP" Which is exactly the same but you survive with other people.

This is the free version of Minecraft looks amazing yes i know, even though its the free version its amazing to play with friends and build things with friends :)

There is also Role Playing servers which are fun at times if they are made right. Well thats what the servers look like and there is also mods and other ways to make the server truly different we'll get into those later if the thread gets a good response.

For people Who want to try out Alpha heres the beta of the survival part of minecraft

Heres the link -

I love Minecraft. Can't get enough of it. However there isn't really any development for it other than maps and a few mods that add commands. And of course the fact notch plans on charging folk like 30 euro for the full version (and the Alpha's currently at 10 euro)

not an mmo though is it.

It can be If wanted, When making your server from the files Notch supplies a server can go up to around 50 players and higher, Giving it the same amount of user's as a VERY populated habbo server. The single player is just for people that like to play by them selfs. Thats one reason why "SMP" was created to make more room for people and friends.

Still doesn't make it an MMORPG, which is sort of what RaGEZONE is about.

Its a sandbox game, There is MANY servers on minecraft that are RPG only. using ores as currency and items for shops. "SMP" is basically only RPG servers not many are free builds. Plus your trying to survive with people, Basically the same has habbo your living with people just different situation

What concept is there in Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto? In the former you run around digging blocks, the latter you run around gunning down people, driving and pretending to screw hookers.

They both have capabilities to be played ONLINE.
Hence the words 'MMO'.

Those are basically like Modern warfare where you really dont create the server and run the server, those both have them done for you.

Now you're just splitting hairs. You can also argue it's the same principle for older Habbo servers where it's a matter of downloading it and running a .exe. For Minecraft all you do is extract a file and run a .exe to get your server running. Just pack it in mate, you have no solid case for the creation of a Minecraft section because there is nothing solid to build upon. Yes it ticks the MMO box but there just isn't the development for it on a forum like RaGEZONE. There is no real development for it.

Your saying there isn't any development in Minecraft SMP? Your kidding me right?

"Scare other players online!, less bugs more implemented features"
October 31st update list from notch.

Basically a program just like debbo but for minecraft.

List of admin programs and mods for the server, also list for knowing everything about the map and the user's with chat logs and everything a normal server would have.

Plugin made for your server and commands and info for all of your user's with commands for user's

I can go on with this for at least 4 post before you say there is no development in Minecraft, Look it up on some forums that are on the community tab on Minecraft.net, and Minecraft doesn't need to have a emulator for the game since the owner ALLOWS people to use it to have a server of their own.

And habbo didn't have anything in its hands with private servers until someone started to develop programs for it. There is development in every game we play mate. So when you say there is no reason for having the server development for Minecraft your mistaken. thats why its called Server "DEVELOPMENT" So people can develop things for the game and servers.
