I really loved the old dark theme of the forum, could you please add it back again



I believe the name of the theme was Hank?

I know that RaGEZONE has an official theme, what i meant is an external theme for people who likes dark themes more than light ones.

With all do respect, the current theme is great. I don't see a reason why you would want to get back to the old one.

I understand if you like a darker theme, but I don't think it's really needed at the moment.

If you like, you always have the option to customize the theme yourself in the client-side using the plugin

Honestly, I doubt if RZ really needs a darker theme at the moment. In any case, you can use custom theme, if you REALLY want it.

RZ should have a darker theme. Stop dismissing someone's suggestions/opinions. You can say no to the theme, but just because you don't want a darker theme, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same.

I was mainly replying to Droppy, sorry. There's plenty of reasons someone would want a darker theme. It's fine that there isn't one, but saying there's no reason for one is bogus.

I asked the same thing....this theme is too bright and hurts my eyes after staring at it for a while...but Mental says no.

I must say, I personally prefer a darker theme over a white one too. Having the same problem as Monolith. I also run pretty much every editor or IDE with a dark theme :s Staring at a white one for too long does not feel good in my eyes...

I never designed a forum but you already know that im a graphic designer SO yeah, it should be easy.

if you really don't like the theme. It will change it locally for you and no-one else. I actually quite like the new theme colours overall.

Graphic design != web design, there are lots of things you need to consider such as accessibility, UX and page load times, not just making things look good. So unless you have a background in those your layout could be cumbersome and inaccessible when coded.

If you've never coded one, chances are you don't know web accessibility and UX principles and don't have experience in minimising server impact with file size and code processing methods. There's more to making a layout than just 'hey, I can make web layouts, let me make one' unfortunately, and we shouldn't be posting up tonnes of guides just so one person can make a layout, someone with that experience under their belt should be making the layout.

But give Greasemonkey a go. Your point is moot. This is our new official theme and it's not likely to change soon, so the only way you'll be able to flex those layout muscles will be there. No point in continuing to ask to edit the theme as it won't be happening.
