One of the main problems with private servers is being able to send
in-game mail with, or without, an attachment. The only one that I
am aware of that allows in-game mail to be sent is the piece of crap
that cjack (allegedly) wrote. Why would he make a mail tool that
only sends mail in Chinese?

REMOVED

Sure, it may work, but can anyone tell me why it sends the message
in Chinese and what it says? Is cjack from China? I really have no
idea. But, let us continue with in-game mailing.

What if there was another tool that can be used to send in-game
mail, with or without an attachment? What if this tool was in
English and can even send custom items? What if this tool can
make looking up an item to send easy as point & click? What
if this tool can send custom From, Subject and Message fields?
What would this tool look like? It may just look like this:

JD Database Item ID Lookup

This tool looks very interesting. Well done.

Yes, Cjack is Chinese.

Or at least he is well ranked on mcncc forums and communicates in Chinese just fine.

For those who want to give the <<alpha>> version a "test drive" I am going to give a 2-day license.

This license expires on April 24, 2013:

This is a really nice program, here is an idea i thought id share with you.

Keep the server connected, cause after each time you send something you have to reconnect to the server. And it can become an issue sometimes.

other than that its a GREAT program!!

The program is still in beta right now. Currently, I am doing a bit of a redesign.
My plan is to have the program in 2 parts, a client and server. The client, which
is the desktop app, will connect to the server through a configurable port (this
way, port 29400 can be locked tight). The server part will, in turn, get the
data from the client and send it to the gamedbd. In effect, the mailer's server
will act as a firewall/relay for the mailer.

Edit:
I guess you can consider what I have so far as a proof of concept design;
I now know it is fully possible to make a configurable mailer program that
is capable of sending simple in-game mails (without attachments) as well
as sending a vast array of items, including custom items, as an attachment.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its good only for vmware.

You can not have gamedbd ports open in real serv.

If it is your server, you can set firewall rules to block everything
except your own IP from port 29400.
