Why do I want to moderate the SilkRoad Online section?
Currently darkangel is not really active in this section (thanks darky for reading my reports) and people flaming each other, personal attacks, spams and more needs to be moderated.

Did you have any experience with Forum/vBulletin?
Sure, since vBulletin 3.6.x and i have vBulletin license to get plugins or anything else from vbulletin.org
and i was moderator in vBulletin 'localized' help forum in 2010 so i know almost everything about vBulletin...

Experience:
Enough to make bugless silkroad server, PHP, SQL (mysql & mssql only) and Visual Studio languages(C#, vB)

What you will do?
-Wrong Section
Move the thread to proper section and warn the user about that, if user do it again infraction will be added.

-Flaming, personal attacks etc.
Remove the posts / threads and warn the users, if they keep doing that then add infraction.

-Wrong Reports
Warn the user with reason of why the report is wrong. If user keep doing that then add infraction.

I'd like examples of "useless stuff". "One mans' junk is another mans' treasure."

I can give some examples of stuff which is "useless" and may even be "off-topic" which I try to either archive or just leave rather than moderate away:-

Requests for the impossible. (or at least impractical)

Reason: The fact that active developers will explain why this isn't do-able means that can be referenced and searched, or cited the next time such a request is made.​

Developments which ultimately fail.

Reason: The fact that it was tried and documented through the process means any similar development discussion can learn what to avoid next time around.​

General community gossip and banter, if harmless and inoffensive.

Reason: People who are friendly work better together. I was annoyed that previous mods had cleaned the friendly exchanges between developers who later fell out because this tends to leave only the hostile exchanges and no documentation of happier times. That makes RZ look like a community of back-stabbing bitchy trolls, and I don't see how that benefits us.​

There is "cleaning up" and then there is "censorship" and the line between the two can be a fine one. I've always tried to keep a careful balance, because excessive moderation can be worse than none at all.

Much of users still not reading rules and opening threads in wrong sections, i want to take care of them.
