My names Aleks also known as Sparks around the internet. I was a former moderator of the MapleStory section back in 2008 to mid 2009.

I've owned my own business for the last 3 years up until recently when things economically went downhill. Ever prior to the business world I was continuously working with people amongst the different types of jobs I worked, everything from Cashier to Customer Service rep. To Client Care representative.

I've owned a few communities back in my day, most memorable certainly being KryptoDEV, where as most people who went there know that, everything was based on Freedom of speech, certain individuals were chosen for their expertise / communication and best without prejudice vocal and literary skills.

I was quite strict on who abused their power and who favoured others. Of course I had people who didn't like me or the way things were at times which is where "freedom of speech" came in, they were allowed to speak their mind so long as it was minimal vulgar language and absolutely no personal insults made towards anyone on the community board or the staff members.

I was quite strict on staff members when it came to keeping their "personal life" and their "professional life (moderating)" separate. I taught them that if a situation got tough or they needed someone to talk too, to add me on msn and we'll chat, but when it comes to professional life. That unless it was personal insults to let it go one ear and come out of the other. Never to act upon their personal feelings!

I'm quite familiar still to date with the RaGEZONE Staff rules. I have quite a lot of experience both with coding plugins / templating amongst tweaking the internals of vBulletin - XenForo - MyBB - WordPress. I've mainly worked with vBulletin and XenForo for about 5 years as my longest running Bulletin Board software.

Contributions:

During the TitanMS era I've made contributions through NPC's (starting), source tweaks and helping in and around the community. That was the main reason why I was selected back in the day to Moderate the MapleStory community.

Throughout the months and years following TitanMS I was involved with different OdinMS fork projects, including the KryptoDEV one and a more recent one (since the KDev one) available to everyone around the net called ProjectNautilus available here.

I think my main contribution to sum it up would most likely be helping in and around the community. Majority of my MapleStory contributions don't involve public releases but rather helping fix and tweak people's servers / issues during the years.

Aside that working on my own projects.

Why Should I Be a Moderator?

I think if you looked at my last 2 months, I've been on nearly every day. RZ is my FB aha .. hard to turn away when there's so much to lurk and see :P

Well .. If that and the above doesn't sum it up, the with all due respect. I don't know what more there is left to talk about.

Oh and since Nexon follows my every move, could be to make them rage a little more aha (personal feeling)

Doesn't matter, Aleks is very very trustworthy and know exactly what he's doing. He's been here for a long long time. (Even before me because I did made an account here, but joined that section what later.)

Thought that Aleks was older. Oh well.

It's kinda funny though. Right after one person got accepted into the section (he's not quite active that guy, but alright) lots of other's are giving it a shot. :P
