About
AetherFlyFF is back, and better than ever. With a new vision, improved staff structure, and better priorities, we aim to bring AetherFlyFF back to life without the problems that have plagued it in the past. With over 400 new items, 1,000 item changes, and access to cFlyFF and multiple game assets, AetherFlyFF makes its return.

Our Mission
Our goal is to prioritize fun, balance, stability, atmosphere and community. FlyFF, as a game, needs to be more fun to play. We have re-balanced the entire game, stat after stat, as well as re-made several files, allowing us to develop much quicker than before, and release updates faster. End-game content will be more abundant than before, both for casual and hardcore players. FlyFF is now more gorgeous than ever, with a complete graphical makeover of Madrigal and its dungeons, while retaining their structure and layouts.

Improved Game, But Still FlyFF

While many changes have been made to improve FlyFF as a whole, the core of the game remains intact. Nothing has been dramatically altered or changed to the point of being unrecognizable. All of your favorite areas are here, layout and all. Same weapons, same armor, same cards. Only appearances, stats, and usefulness have been changed drastically for balance and gameplay purposes.

Single Job System

All characters now start at hero, skills and all! All leveling areas have been re-adjusted to compensate for this change. Jobs are now selected upon character creation, and you stick with that class forever. No more dealing with job selection quests, windows, or popups. Skills have been separated appropriately between classes, and all skills have been made useful. Ringmasters now have several new offensive skills as well.

Madrigal Makeover

Madrigal and its dungeons have been given a complete graphical makeover, while retaining map layouts and structure. With a new and improved day/night system, experience Madrigal like never before.

New NPC Content

All NPC's have been improved, along with new and exclusive items. World bosses drop another new type of currency, which can be used to purchase weapons, armor, and jewelry from special NPC's in Eastern Flarine.

New Currencies & Chip Types

To solve the problem of randomized dungeon instance drops, we have completely revamped all dungeon drop pools. Dungeons now drop special items 100% of the time, which can be saved up and spent at dungeon shops. Purple Chips can also be dropped or purchased, and are used to purchase items from monster shops. Endgame equipment can now be obtained at a steady pace, instead of relying on drop chances. Instance dungeons are now also a reliable way of making income, as each boss drops valuable resources that can be sold for penya.

Simplicity Changes

Several changes have been made for the sake of convenience and simplicity. All dungeon instance entrances are now located in Eastern Flarine, with a dungeon and boss shop nearby. Upgrading jewelry for ages is a thing of the past. Now all jewelry come pre-upgraded, with fixed stats. There is a massive amount of new jewelry as well.

Ultimate equipment have been replaced by our old Chaos system, which are easily pierced by Gemstones. The Cash Shop has been moved to in-game NPC's in Northern Flarine. You can exchange your dPoints there for Emeralds, which are used to purchase items from multiple NPC shops in the area.

Balance Changes

Major balance changes have been made. Almost no items provide massive percentage increases for stats. Instead, we utilize stats such as ATK+, HP+, DEF+, etc. to cleanly balance and control ratios. Additionally, all weapons and armor provide stats, including those purchased from NPC's. While weaker equipment will have weaker stats, their bonuses will still assist every player in combat. We made attempts to ensure no useless items exist in the game. Food has been re-done as well, and can be purchased from food NPC's across Madrigal.

Unnecessary Content Removed
A lot of unnecessary content has been removed that did not improve or overpowered gameplay. Ticket maps have been removed in favor of Madrigal. However, don't expect to never see Azria again! It will make its return after beta, and be better than ever.

Beta
Beta will be wiped when the server goes live. However, beta serves its purpose to help us discover and fix bugs before the server is released, so if you find any minor or major bugs, glitches, crashes or errors, reporting them to us helps us go live sooner. Any donations made during beta will be fully reimbursed when the server launches.

We will be listening to players closely during beta. Feel free to suggest changes, improvements, and additions to the server that most players might prefer. We will be open to consideration regarding any major changes the community suggests during beta, as we want the game as polished and playable by the time it goes live. There will be a list of known bugs on our forum that details all of the bugs we currently know of and are in the process of fixing.

Future
After beta, expect to see a massive amount of new end-game content released, which we will still be developing and finalizing during beta to ensure we only push out the best content possible. A new Legendary weapon system will be available for those who seek prestige when wielding the best weapon in the game. These weapons will not be as easy to obtain as other weapons in the game. The level cap will be increased from 250 to 300, with new leveling areas and dungeons/instances. v18 dungeons and content missing from beta will be included in this update, so don't worry. After the server is live, we will focus on releasing more PvM content and PvP rewards, as well multiple planned major updates. Any content not useful during beta will be made useful when we go live as well.

I'm liking this new madrigal makeover , looks like something flyff v20 would come up with

Anyway I'm waiting to see how effective these balance changes will be.
