While I'm relatively new to this section, and am by no means even a good developer (though I'm slowly learning), I've gotta say, this one has one little thing to it that makes it iffy.

I seriously sympathize with those of you who dislike leechers, especially the kind being discussed in this thread. I see how it's annoying, especially with examples like MisterKid's experience with people asking him to change his antihack's name. Just from lurking in the Help section a lot, I totally get how unbelievably stupid some people can be, and yes, it can get REALLY annoying. That kind of leecher is a huge pain.

On the other hand, there's a second kind of person who generally gets lumped in with leechers. They're not the ones who are just huge pains and PM you with unreasonable requests or call you [insert insult here] for no reason. They're the people who come across as helpless leechers and ask a lot of relatively dumb questions, but who are, in their own way, interested and have a sort of potential. These guys are just having more trouble than most, and thus are treated like the scum I discussed above. As a result of the hostility towards them, these people who could very easily learn enough to become major contributors flee this section like butterflies from a net.

tl;dr
Leechers are scum. The people who look like leechers but are really just novices are victims.

And I probably said that whole thing wrong, but w/e, you get the general idea.
