It's a popular game , in my highschool almost everybody plays on Official Server.

Im going to open a server , and i opend it .
It's almost an usless topic but i know how to make Server and im wodering is anyone interested , i can make tuts , videos and others explinations.

SERVER SETUP!


Server DOWNLOAD :

You must be registered to see links

Download MICROSOFT VIRTUAL PC :

You must be registered to see links

Download Putty (you work faster with putty ^^):

You must be registered to see links

Server HOW TO:
First of all , install MICROSOFT VIRTUAL PC then run image that you extracted from chinses..



Attention! :Password for CHINESE Archive is : mcncc.com

Client SETUP

Client DOWNLOAD :

You must be registered to see links

Patch FOR CLIENT :

You must be registered to see links

Video Tutorial :

You must be registered to see links

READ ! IMPORTANT !
Go to clientpath/pack/root.epk and root.eix and rename it to root_02.epk and root_02.eix

EXTRACT PATCH IN clientpath/ not in /clientpath/pack..

WebSite SETUP!

Register PAGE for LINUX AND WINDOWS (You can put in FreeBSD apache (you need to install it) or in windows with apache (xampp) )
Download Link:

Download includes only register page translated to english.

Edit conn.php with your IP and if you changed password for root ( in MySql ) change password too.

NPC Names , Quests , Dialogs to game are sent by Server ! There are 150 Quest , isn't hard to translate..

Oh, I see, well, a good start would be google CHS->ENG and after, do a revision to make sure it makes sense.

I found Metin2 files today but the're all kinda big and no its not the 1,2 gb folder which has been released before.

Seems that you will have to reverse engineer that if no one has the PW...

Download Mircosoft VIRTUAL PC 2007 , Mount image ( Change name from Chinese it won't work ) and woala
User Information for FreeBSD7
User: root
Password : mcncc.com

You can change it if you do :
Login to root and passwd mcncc.com
then type "passwd root"
and chose your new password
Without QUOTES!

Myql
User : root
Password : 123456

You don't need to modify anything in server just use
For start server

cd /root 
./start

For stop server

cd /root
./stop

For delete logs

cd /root
./dellog

Ohh i forgot , you need to do

sysinstall

select cofiguration -> networking -> interfaces -> de0 -> to IPV6 chose no and to DHCP chose no , now modify ip with your bridged adapter ..

You can't edit IP OF DATABASE ...
That is not an error , i got it too..
Game WORKS FINE!
