How to make buttons with CS3:
deternary - [Tutorial] How to make a DW website PART 2 - RaGEZONE Forums

Short and easy.

Step1:
Choose the design, if you are that stupid, it shows the picture of what it will look like.

Step2:
Type what you want the button to say under "Button Text". Like "Home", "Register", etc

Step3:
Choose the font, it can be anything on the list. (Some don't fit within the button all the time)

Step4:
The "Link" is what the button leads you to. It can be a voting site, the home page, anything really. Leave "Target" blank.

Step5:
Choose the color of the BACKGROUND of the button you want. Which is basically the table BG or just general BG. To select a specific color, click the little square of color and your cursor becomes an eyedropper. You can choose ANY color you see on your screen. HOWEVER, if you minimize DW, you can't choose the color you want. So just make the window smaller.

Step6:
Then save it as _______.swf. Naturally, I like to make a button folder within the "root" folder. It keeps things organized. But just name it whatever you want. After you click "OK", a menu window will appear, just cancel it. And there you have it, a button. Drag it to where you want it.

How to merge and split cells:
Quick overview, merging cells are basically combining two+ cells to make one. It'll be easier once you try it for yourself. Splitting is the opposite, it takes one cell and hacks into two.

Merging:
Step1:
Select the cells you want to merge by clicking a cell that you wanna merge and then dragging your cursor over the other cells.

Setep2:
Right-click the cells area and hover over "Table". Then "Merge"

Splitting:
Step1:
Select the cell you want to split.

Step2:
Right-click and hover over "Table". Then click "Split Cells". It gives you a window with easy to know stuff. If you split by Row, then it'll become a part of the Row that your cell is in. Column, same thing.
