pw_import.zip 2009-08-15 (re-uploaded) alpha (speedyshare.com)

Link Off

The file has been deleted, there is no way to restore it back,
the deletion is permanent, the file is lost forever.

PW Model Import is working...
but to save the modified file you need PW Model Export...
Anyone got pw_export?

I think there is a way to change models.

In this Nudepatch normal female models will be replaced with other 'revised' models.
(look at the data folder and open the patchData.xml)

The creator has changed only little things, few polys deleted, new uvw-map etc.
But how? Someone an idea?

I'm yet to import anything successfully. I gave non Chinese names to the file and folder, but Blender freezes up when I import the file. Any advice?

edit: If it helps any, the CMD window usually says something like "Bone05" before I have to close it all.

Hello Phantom*

thank you for writing this SKI Blender Importer.
And thank you as well for putting it under an MIT license, so I was able to continue developing it.
It now has lot more abilities, and - I wrote an Exporter as well.

Just wanted to share it here at ragezone because I've seen the people are interested in it, and some asked for an export, so now here comes one.
Together with a documentation as PDF, so no need to put instructions here - just read the attached document.

Hope you feel okay with putting this in your thread.

regards,
pvpseeker

Haven't tested this yet, but from reading the PDF and looking at the samples, this is a very advanced tool and will be able to extend more possibilities and perhaps bring in content, as far as model goes, that cannot be found in the official server.

You could use the attached file from 3 posts above

okay so i finally got around to checking this out. it seems awesome in theory but, while i'm a noob at this ski file editing, i cant understand how to use this in coordination with blender and my pw files. anyone out there with msn or an e-mail willing to chat out my issues with me so i don't wind up spamming the forum thread? xD... let me know.

edit: and oh yes, i did look at the PDF included. i still dont understand some things. help would be appreciated off-forum if possible. xD

EDIT: i figured it out and am doing fine with it now. Noob level two! :)

very very good!

glad somebody has finally done something for models :)

1 question, is it possible to make some sort of map model editor (map models arnt .ski they are .bmd which is basicaly a ski with few more things in it.

also are you able to make it so that if we assign .ski files to open with blender they will open with a simple double click, instead of having to copy them to desktop then import them.

I haven't checked that one out yet, but a few posts above here (3 above my last post) there is also a really nice import/export that was pointed out to me here... Once you figure out what to do with it works real nice (comes with a PDF telling you a bit about what to do). I use it to play with and view PW models.
