Unfortunately, we have experienced significant hard drive damage that requires urgent maintenance and rebuilding. Its an HTML5 engine, and the creators obviously have the right idea. I checked it out and its browser based and it can be played on a mobile device (and I'm pretty sure Mac OSX as well)
If you want to create something similar, your best bet would be to use the PokeMMO source we have lying around in the releases section. It's pretty incomplete, but features can be added to it, and its fairly easy to edit.

In theory you can rip most scripts.
