I know that this tool is not big like pw emu, today its small, tomorrow its bigger. To your understanding, it's like pw emu was open source, but then going to closed, why?.

hrace, all exe protectors will trigger AVs due to APIs or due to the fact that kids use them to make malware undetected.

I don't think this is a threat, what use would the guy have - steal your local LAN pServer passwords? :D

They aren't english because the developer is russian, seems sensible to use your own language for a program.
