    gshop editor by tekk

    Im running windows 7 and when I try to run gshop ediot with the LAUNCHER batch file, it loads a command prompt screen then disapeers immediatly and the program isnt loaded. Anyone know how I can fix this?

    edit the batch file and put pause at the end on a new line then run the file again. It should tell you what the error is and why its not running.

    I think tekks editors use java so you may be missing that.

    well i was sure i had java, but just in case I re-downloaded/re-installed it and it still dosn't work

    reboot after installing java to get the environment variables properly set, specify the path to java by hand, or just don't use pirated windows.

    lol not a pirated windows :p this is the windows 7 that came with my laptop when i bought it :D but ill try what you guys said thanks

    Edit: Yea i restarted my computer and it didn't work. How do I specify the java path by hand?

    If you're running Win7 press the WINDOWS KEY + PAUSE/BREAK
    then select "Advanced System Settings" along the left side of the window/panel

    Then on the ADVANCED TAB in the system properties dialog is the "Environment Variables"

    never had to do this though... it should work on the fly with the oracle java installer. I really have no idea how ppl manage it to mess that up.

    you could also path java in the bat file.

    for example: "c:\program files (x86)\<rest of path>\java.exe"

    I've had issues with 64bit PCs, that's why I just edit bat files for it

    Setting the enviroment variable is the better way (seeimng the long term use) than editing every java starting bat file by hand

    i usually install 64bit java on 64bit systems, maybe thats the problem.
