This is what I think looks good for it - you need a modern font and a simple logo

Ofc But I did it in about 1 minute, not meant to be 100% the same.

Why does everyone feel the incentive need to bash on other's work? Perhaps he did rip this, perhaps he actually created it on his own. It isn't your room to judge until you find the tutorial or the exact design somewhere else.

I think the background is really neat, and the whole lettering in the front could use some work. Start working on your front-end designing more than your back-end designing. Since the front-end is the one that physically sees your website first, it's imperative that it's the first thing you accommodate to.
