This is a discussion on [FILM] The Dark Knight Rises within the TV/Film forums, part of the Evolution : RaGEZONE category; I'm going to see this on Wednesday. I will update this will my thoughts on it :)...
I have big expectations for this movie ,
I think Christian bale is the best batman actor but I am wondering wether Anne Hathaway is the right choice ? I was thinking maybe mila Kunis ? Yknow make way for the next generation :) well we will see soon
Batman's old and dying. Isn't that fun to watch any more.
-my opinion, can't say im wrong lol-
Yeah. I'm guessing you're a teenager ranging from 13-16 years old. Right? Because of your age, you weren't around long enough to realize the significance of Batman and how awesome its been for quite some time. To have these movies finally come out and have them all be excellently executed in all its glory. Its just great. Old and dying? Not quite. As for your opinion. The hell I can't say its wrong lol.
Overall it's a good film that you could easily go back and watch again. I personally felt things were quite fast paced and poorly thought out in the opening 10-15 minutes but after that it picked up. Given the whole psychological aspect to Wayne's feelings about being a failure and all the story behind all that, in the opening sequences the shut-in Bruce Wayne seems to quite happily and enthusiastically get up and get out of his house given he's meant to be this recluse who's depressed about losing a loved one. That could've done with some reworking but other than that it's a good film.
It was absolutely fantastic. The way Bruce was taken down to a whole new level was un-believable.
A certain kick was given during the climax and I kinda saw it coming but it felt great within the cinema. Not too sure about Bane's fate... The final moments of the movie made me fanboy streak.

I was totally let down by this movie. I mean overall it was decent, and if it wasn't Batman I probably wouldn't of minded, but cmon, this is the ending of the trilogy. I have always been a Batman fanboy just for the fact that's who I grew up with as a kid. 2 years in a row I even dressed up as him for Halloween, so yes I am biased.
I guess I should give some reasons why I didn't like it.
1) The main fighting sequence between Bane and Batman was really over dramatized and you could really see through the silly punches. I mean up until the very end of the fight I was just shaking my head at how non-realistic it looked. Even the extras were doing a better job portraying the battle then they were, and these are the lead characters at the CLIMAX of the film.
2) You can't even understand Bane some of the time. Okay, I know he was supposed to not sound perfect due to his mask, but at times I could barely understand him. My favorite lines in a film are usually made by the villain, that dialogue really is what brings me into the setting most of the time, but when you can't hear the actor how are you going to understand him >.<".
3) Rushed scenes. During the time when Bruce Wayne was in the pit did not feel like months, nor did I even catch on until I started seeing a considerable amount of facial hair appear on his face. They could of easily portrayed the concept of time a little better because in the end, it felt like days, not weeks.
4) (My biggest rant of all) I absolutely hated the ending. I could forgive everything I have said prior and even the things I failed to mention if not for this generic ending. What angers me even more is that it was set up so perfect for a GOOD ending.
You not only felt thrown off from the twist, you see the last hope of a happy ending fly away. I will be blunt, if Batman would have been killed it would have made the film for me. Martyrdom has always been one of my favorite methods of offing a good character, and if Batman would of died saving millions of lives the way you assumed, I would not have been angry at all. In the film they talked about despair coming from your last dream disappearing, and that is why it would have made a perfect ending. The despair from Alfred alone would of left the whole audience sobbing.
I have always been a fan of sad/tragic ending just for the fact that they are not only more real, they pull at your heart strings more. I think modern day society likes the happy ending setting just because it makes you feel good at the end, but I, I don't just want to be "happy." I want to be moved, and this movie just didn't do that for me.
Overall the film was still probably a 6-7 out of 10, but for me, I will probably never watch it again.

I've watched all the batman related tv shows, movies and even read the old comics. I just don't see how " OMFG AWESOMENESS" it is.

Review
Spoiler:
The film was fantastic, the overall experience of this film was very good, unlike some people i loved the ending. You can't really kill batman as Robin has just been introduced at the end so if you kill batman then you can't have robin. The twists in this film was very unexpected, i dont really want to tell you the twist as it would ruin the film for you. My favourite part of the film was the fight between the police and the rebels. However you didn't see much of that fight and it would be great to see more of it.
The Chemistry between cat women and batman is amazing the way they betrayed this and the ending with catwomen batman and alfred is very well done, as bruce gave something back to alfred after all alfred went through and done for bruce.
Mr.Fox is one of my favourite character as he is super brainy and always kind. The storyline for this story is very well made and adds alot of tension into the film. You get to know many of the characters fully.
