Re: Any Horror Movies?

I'm not a personal fan of horror movies however, I have a few suggestions either from friends opinions or IMDb.

Re: Any Horror Movies?

Yea I've seen The Haunting in Connecticut. Smiley looks meh.

The Woman in Black, I saw the trailer looks ok. Will download it later.

I kinda don't like watching horror films alone, not that I am scared or poop ( I always get a feeling that someone is watching me :p which spooks me out) So I watch with my friends.

I get the same feeling when I watch horror movies but also then I see the character (Scary one) everywhere for like a week. I just saw Smiley on IMDb so I thought I would just suggest it.

Re: Any Horror Movies?

I've been trying to do the same thing myself, (find a good horror movie). What I can do is tell you a few horror movies that you should never watch because they are literally the stupidest things I've ever watched. I'll also explain a bit about why you shouldn't, (Click Spoilers to see the story behind why they suck.) Please excuse my language used within the spoilers, but I just can't explain it any other way.

1. The ABCs of Death - [On Netflix] - Recommend you don't read this spoiler if you aren't 18+.
This movie is about the stupidest movie ever, and the farthest thing from scary. It seems like it's supposed to be a comedy, but for some odd Ducking reason some website decided to put it on a "Top 10 Horror Movies on Netflix" list. The review for it seemed pretty good by this website, and it seemed like it would be pretty scary. Turns out the movie is about the utmost fucked up thing I have ever seen. It's not even scary it's like watching fucked up porn, seriously. Now, I don't want to spoil the movie just in case you're dumb enough to watch it after what I say next, but let me just explain the outline of it. It goes through every letter of the alphabet connecting the letter to a way of dying. It's like 1,000 ways to die, but they only chose the 26 most retarded ways that you could. This dumb butt movie also has 26 directors, one director for each stupid butt scene. So, the first letter is "A is for Apocalypse", but it literally has like nothing to do with any form of an apocalypse. I'll skip some in between, "C is for Cycle", but this makes no Ducking sense. "C" is like a Ducking fucked up and shorter version of the movie "Groundhog Day". "D is for Dogfight" is a sad Ducking scene, I almost Ducking cried out of sadness in this scene, this was supposed to be a horror movie not "Marley & Me". I kept on watching thinking, "Maybe it will get better." You guessed it, it did not get any better, in fact it got worse. So, I got to the letter F, and I am going to spoil this one just so you don't watch this stupid Ducking movie. "F is for Fart", I could not think of a funnier way of dying than death by flatulence, but even they fucked this up for me. So, the director for "F is for Fart" in my opinion is one sick bastard. So, the scene starts out with an Asian school girl who wonders why girls are so ashamed of farting. She farts, and her teacher comes over when she does and she gets embarrassed. This school girl is a lesbian and has a crush on her teacher. She wants to smell her teacher's farts... Yeah, and this isn't even the worst part. So, apparently some gas comes out of nowhere, "from God's butt," according to the girl. So, she and her teacher start running away. They find some random building, go inside, and the girl tells her teacher if she is going to die from gas, she wants it to be her teacher's gas. Boom she farts in her face, and somehow she gets sucked up into the teacher's butt. At the end of this scene, you see her inside the teacher's butt. The teacher somehow ends up in her own butt with the schoolgirl. Boom Asian Lesbian porn, and cut to next scene. Now, I'm not against any Asians or Lesbians or porn for that matter haha, but when I'm trying to watch a "horror" movie and this comes up in it. That's where I draw the line.
2. Here Comes the Devil - [On Netflix]
This movie was actually relatively good, even though it was in Spanish with English subtitles. I just hated the ending so much that it out-weighed the decency of the entire movie. The ending was so terrible that I just wished I'd never watched such a stupid movie. They didn't explain things enough to end the movie the way that they did. The movie was also poorly edited and recorded. I just don't recommend watching it, it could have been a way better movie if they ended it differently.
3. The Cabin in the Woods - [On Netflix]
I've never personally watched it, but I heard it was terrible.

Now, I'll just give you some that I've come across that I've enjoyed a lot, in no particular order.
1. Devil -
Decent story, definitely Ducking creepy, and just a bit of the entity part.
2. The Possession -
Amazing story, extremely Ducking creepy, this movie will scare you a lot, you will not want to be around any little Jewish girls afterward (you'll know what I mean if you watch it). It's distinctive compared to other "possession" movies because it's not about a Catholic/Christian family or the devil necessarily. It's about a demon and a little girl, it's extremely creepy though, definitely recommend this.
3. Paranormal Activity (1, 2, 3, or 4) - [On Netflix] -
People claim that Paranormal Activity is not scary or anything, and in most ways I agree with that. However, the story line behind it and the quick thrills that it gives you are what creep me out and that's why I like it. I hate the creators of Paranormal Activity because they try too hard to commercialize it and they forget to make it scary. They could do so much more with this story, but they give it up for a lame butt "found footage" movie. I still recommend watching it, it has a great story line.
4. The Devil Inside - [On Netflix] -
This movie has the absolute worst ending ever created, but it's a good story. It just sucks because the movie ends right when it's the best part. It makes it seem like there will be a sequel, but no the creator's an idiot who decided to have a cliff hanger on a movie that will probably never have a sequel.
5. The Ward - [On Netflix] -
I also just watched this movie recently, and it's very good. It reminds me a lot of "American Horror Story" (By the way, watch that show too for a good scare, it's on Netflix too!), and it also reminds me a bit of American Psycho. This movie has a crazy, but very good and settling ending, watch it.
6. American Psycho - [On Netflix] -
Weird, fucked up, funny, but all while being really creepy. This also has a really good ending.
7. Antichrist - [On Netflix] -
I hear this is a really good indie movie, but after reading the synopsis I have yet to gain the courage to watch it. Yeah, it's apparently that creepy. Good luck sleeping if you watch it.
8. The Omen - [Not on Netflix Anymore] -
One of my favorite horror movies, it's not very "gorey", but the story is heart-dropping. It does not have much of an "entity" behind it, but it does have a lot of Satanic and demonic stuff. I won't ruin the story behind it, but it has to do with the actual Antichrist. Only my favorite because it has a lot to do with Christianity and Catholicism, strangely. If you're going to watch it, make sure it's the old one not the crappy remake.
9. The Children of the Corn - [On Netflix] -
A classic horror film by Stephen King, this movie will have you running from "gingers". It is literally one of the most creepy movies I have ever seen. It has very little to do with any entities, but it has plenty to do with Pagans and Satanism. Lot of witchcraft in the movie, and a lot of weird stuff going on. Also, it ends perfectly and has no cliff hangers!

No way you watched Grave Encounters (I actually loved the first one)! How did you find it?

The Ridges. (2.9 out of 5 on IMDb but you'll probably do your own opinion about it)
a 2011 Found-Footage on the abandonned Athens Lunatic Asylum in the Ohio University. Looks very amateur (in a positive way I mean, you feel like it's been recorded by regular peoples) but a lot of spooks are waiting for you. It's actually inspired from Grave Encounters.
He's VERY VERY hard to find on streaming, but here's a trailer.
