Has anyone ever seen the show, "Freaks and Geeks" it aired in the late 1990's to early 2000's? Starring Linda Cardellini, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and John Francis Daley.

What's the big deal?
This show is utterly hilarious, and it's got an IMDb rating to prove it. "9/10"
Unfortunately, it was cancelled about halfway through the season due to budget cuts and low ratings. However, the entire first season is available to stream on Netflix!

So, what's it about?
The show is set in 1980's Michigan, United States. The title says it all, Freaks and Geeks. It's about a brother and sister who each have a group of friends, one group is the freaks and the other is the geeks. It shows all the crazy antics and problems of the average teenager around that time.

The Freaks... Linda Cardellini as Lindsay, James Franco as Daniel, Seth Rogen as Ken, Jason Segel as Nick, and Busy Phillips as Kim... are all either kids from broken homes, ex-math geeks, potheads, kids with crappy parents or kids who's parents want them to join the military, and of course they're in a crappy band together.

The Geeks... John Francis Daley as Sam, Samm Levine as Neal, and Martin Starr as Bill... suffer from being hopelessly romantic, having serious allergies, and a combination of gym class and bullies.

So, do I recommend it?
The best part about this show is that most of the situations that occur in the show are events that actually happened to the writers and producers when they were in high school. Trust me, there is a reason that it got a 9.0 and it's not because of Seth Rogen and James Franco. However, I can see why they are considered to be so funny even in a movie without porn, superheroes, weed, or armageddon. Yes, I do recommend this.
