You have every reason to not trust people, I do the same thing you do, yet I trust the right people because I have been through this route before. Instead of being destructive and taunting other people's projects, though, you should instead focus effort on development and maintain a behind-the-scenes presence. The more you make yourself a target, the more you actually become a target.

Everyone I know thinks you're a little self-entitled brat, personality wise, and you retaliate harshly like a little angry german kid when threatened... I respect you as a developer, but only as a developer.
