This is always a good feature for the launcher. Ppl start the game with launcher, see 0 ppl connected and alt-f4 :fanny:

What he means is that if there is a lot of players on a map then they get a high ping, to fix that, buy better servers... if the server can't handle all 100 players packages then you need a better server with a better performance OR someone fucked up something on the server, I mean it might could be that someone added code to the server what makes the performance less..

Also if you guys want to have a players online list: just count the entrys of the sessions in the database... if you guys want to see who is on which map... work on an api call that changes values in the database and calls the api for X seconds from the gameserver...
