Here is a jaw dropping video of a statically mounted J58 engine, or the engine that the SR-71 Blackbird used - which is the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft on record. So fast, if a missile launch was detected the pilot would simply increase the thrust and outrun it.

The whole video is amazing, but it really gets mind-blowing at the 3:32 mark!

The J58 jet engine test pales in comparison to the 418,000 lbf thrust RS-25 SSME (Space Shuttle Main Engine) test though! But, if that still wasn't enough, the Space Shuttle SRB's (Solid Rocket Booster) produced up to 3.1 million lbf of thrust, EACH, for a total of 6.2 million, that's around 15x the amount of SSME thrust!
