Its because gambling is not allowed seeing you can buy credits to gamble with with real life money. If the only way was to option credits by playing the game, gambling would've been allowed in most countries if that was the case. If they want to comply with law they have to get licensed as gambling site. Meaning if you can't obtain a license in a certain country, people from that country are not allowed to visit your site.

It has nothing to do with the age restriction.

Also that yes. Though I honestly wonder how much they're now lacking in profit because of this decision. Like, if they had not added the iOS app and kept gambling, would they have made more profit? I'm pretty sure the answer is a yes.

@Joopie maybe, but they also have Poker apps on it with fake gambling (real if you use in-app purchases) so I'm not sure. I remember being this reason back then, but nevertheless I find it shenanigans.
