Hey RZ-

Long time since I've been on here.. I remember when Leon was the first to the r63.
Back then retros were booming, from FORCE to another I can't remember.
I was basically involved starting with the gambling scene and then onto my own personal DEV of CMS and trying to build a successful functioning retro.

With all these people online with RaGEZONE- I don't understand how the community isn't booming?
What is everyones thoughts? I feel like Habbo hit a decline when they had merged everything to the US, I used to play .com/.ca often, and then the big merge hit.

They had also disabled casinos...

----

This is when the retros were at it's peak. I had owned and I had a marvelous 115 users on which was the greatest accomplishment of my life back then lol.

Next off I want to ask, what's the scene look like? Overview, if you were to be my friend.. and I hadn't hit you up for years and I ask the following "how are the retros doing?
"are there any that are big on economy"
"what are the chances of building a successful one based off of a good economy/gambling"

I'd like to host a very professional gambling community,
It'd be a cool project and I've got all the money in the world to invest.
Is it worth it?

These were my favorite games to dev on, and It'd be a pleasure working with a retro again.
I'll be checking this thread as long it is getting replies...

What do you think?
Also wouldn't mind recruiting a few team-mates.
It'd be cool to create a team and try to get these retros running agaain.. It can't be that hard to market. especially to gambling communities.

That'd be cool to integrate a BTC payment system, or even gambling with crypto,. muha

I know my post is all over the map, but I am excited to look around ragezone and there's still development coming along.

BTW,
What is the latest v
and then the most stable v.

I've got a lot to catch up on ..
Thanks yaall

Anyone have input?

I have the same feelings, man. I just signed into Rage for the first time in probably 4 years, because they stopped allowing people to advertise for retros when Sulake really cracked down on them. The merger was bogus. The merger caused the entire economy to collapse. I'm not sure how they didn't expect that to happen, with the values being so different between the servers. I wish I could find a v13 again. Those were the days.

I remember being a 14 year old kid sending "applications" to retro owners, other 14 year olds just getting into the programming scene. I remember making my own blog-type websites, thinking I could make my own retros with Hamachi. 10 years ago, this was my life.

I wish I knew where I could find something that I like that much again.

This community is slowing falling apart. There are emulators written with partial or incorrect development knowledge. I'm currently investigating Habbo's changes since 2014 and will bring a brand new server that's capable of anything Habbo does and beyond that.

Hey mate,

Thanks for the shout out but I wasn't the first to r63!!

In regards to the most stable emulator around on here would be Comet. I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything. The latest release of Comet, from when I opened up my GitHub, is likely more stable, if you define stable as an emulator that can stay snappy with 5000 players and not hog up the entire server that is, than any of the servers available on here.

Now that you mention it, quite a lot of us have been here for a damn long time!

Oh man. But how we have grown up since then.. most of the people left are what, 19-20+ years old now?

I remember Plus with 2,000 online.. Now you can barely find a hotel with 500 online? Even the "real" hotels, barely hits 500? My theory is that it's beacuse habbos primary target doesnt play on a pc anymore, its tablets all the way. And afaik no retro has tablet support?

Hey, to answer a couple of your questions...

"How are retros doing?"
- Retros in general are doing the same as official, slowly de-popularising although at the same time users are trying out retros before giving up on Habbo first imo.

"Are there any that are big on economy"
- Most Retros have lost their strict economy they once had to try appeal to as many users as possible. Most users are more about building rooms, roleplaying and general chit chat rather than trading/casinos, which has forced most retros to offer coins, furniture rather than limiting. Yes they still have "rares" and people trade furniture but it's not how it used to be.

"Chances of gaining a popular hotel based on gambling"
- Unlikely but it's not impossible. If you think about it, Habbo have forced casinos out of the hotel so a retro could gain that user base, just not sure how popular that would be.

Spoiler alert; after removal of the gamecenter and addition of crafting; nothing has changed...
