Official MapleStory 2 - Alpha Testing

Nexon allowed a few end users to play their new developed game, MapleStory 2, which is currently in Alpha state.
The testing phase was held inside their headquarters, located in Chou, Tokyo (I believe).
The video contains footage from the game and feedback from the users.

What do you think?



Personally, I think the game doesn't feel like MapleStory anymore; it's like they invented a whole new game, which shouldn't be the case,
as this is sort of a "sequel". But, it could be turned into a nice 3D game with new elements, which would be quite cool.

but anyway the trailer is sick. i would personally love to try the game out..again, sparing Nexon a sec chance to prove themselves. im pretty sure when MS2 is out, it will kill the original MS but yea pservers will be alive tho.

This is a friendly reminder for anyone that signed up for the CBT test, the testers will be announced on Monday (Korean time) and testing begins on Wednesday, the 17th to the 21st (again, Korean time).

MapleStory 2 will be going into Closed Beta testing from January 21st to the 25th. Applications are now until January 12th. Winners for the applications will be announced on the 16th.
10,000 registrants and existing Alpha players can join.

There's a couple of new features such as Guilds, blacksmithing, Black Market (Free Market), jail system for bad players, new minigames, and a couple of new monsters. People who are invited into this CBT will become Adventurers and will be able to participate in future Adventurer-only events (they also get some bonus items in the Open Beta).

I'm trying to find any tools people have made for extracting data from MS2.

In alpha they didn't encrypt their files very much but with CBT they've encrypted everything

How did you install the game? My Nexon Game Manager is stuck at 0%.
