Zombies reveal

Story trailer

The game is set to release in just under 1 month time (November 6th) worldwide for all consoles and PC.

Storymode plot

Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place in a dystopian future set in 2065, 40 years after the events of Black Ops II. Several countries around the world have developed high-tech air defenses that render air assaults useless. As such, most of the warfare between countries is done by covert operatives fighting behind enemy lines. Science and technology have radically changed both the landscape as well as the future of the human race, with society violently protesting and attempting to halt further advancements touted by scientists as "progress". Military technology has progressed to the point where robotics play a main role in combat, and supersoldiers have been developed to fight in the battlefield. Humans have reached the point where they are considered to be more machine than flesh and blood. As a result, there is speculation and fear about an eventual robotic takeover. The game will follow a team of black ops soldiers, like previous installments in the Black Ops series, with supersoldier capabilities.

The campaign stars Christopher Meloni as Commander John Taylor, Katee Sackhoff as Sarah Hall, Sean Douglas as Jacob Hendricks, Rachel Kimsey as Rachel Kane, and Tony Amendola as Dr. Yousef Salim. In addition, Ben Browder and Abby Brammell respectively voice the male and female versions of the player character, while Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch makes a cameo as a villain.

Zombies plot

There are two confirmed Zombies storylines in Call of Duty: Black Ops III at the time of its reveal. One story, Shadows of Evil, focuses on a new group of characters: Nero (Jeff Goldblum), Jessica (Heather Graham), Jack Vincent (Neal McDonough) and Floyd Campbell (Ron Perlman), who reside in the fictional Morg City. Treyarch describes the new characters as "troubled individuals" with "a long and sordid history of past misdeeds". The four characters are thrown into a twisted version of the city, overrun by zombies, and are guided by a mysterious, unreliable figure called the Shadow Man (Robert Picardo). Treyarch says that their story will tie into the main Zombies storyline in the past games, particularly "Mob of the Dead" from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The second story, The Giant, focuses on the alternate versions of the original characters: Tank Dempsey (Steven Blum), Nikolai Belinski (Fred Tatasciore), Takeo Masaki (Tom Kane) and Edward Richtofen (Nolan North), who were introduced in the Black Ops II map "Origins". Their story continues from where "Origins" left off, as they attempt to rewrite the original timeline's history.

The multiplayer BETA was out about a month ago too, did anyone get a chance to play it? Personally I found it more enjoyable to play compared to AW, the gameplay felt smooth and fluid, the 'exo' abilities seemed to work well with them being limited to a short burst and timed. Obviously it will have more fixes before it gets released and any bugs from the beta will be fully ironed out.

Call of Duty lost me after the first Black Ops. I agree that the whole futuristic High-Tech is shenanigans. If I wanted to play Halo, I'd play Halo. Go back to World War II, or here's a better one, how about World War I? It's trench warfare, but CoD always knows how to fabricate false realities anyway and they could make it interesting. It's a conflict that has yet to be really grasped in any popularized FPS's based on a wartime conflict. I mean I just want them to get back to reality.

If they think they're bringing back older players by bringing back the old zombie maps, you're really just pissing us off even more because instead of letting us continue to run with our imagination as far as the story goes, you told us a new story of Zombies and destroyed it. Therefore, I'll much more enjoy my Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops with crappy graphics before I pick up a copy of your new poop game that is probably made on the same "revamped" engine with newer graphics.

Anyway, I think I'm pissin' in the wind with this post, but I just have to say that Call of Duty is a terrible game that is made by half-butt developers. Like here's a brilliant idea, a different engine rather than the same one you used for the past 3 games. At least Battlefield is interesting and does not focus on a Kill/Death ratio, knock it all you want, but in reality no soldier has ever said "HEY witch MY K/D IS BETTER THAN YOURS" because if there was such a thing they'd be dead before their "K/D" existed (Anything/0 is undefined).

Case and point.
