Jeff Gerstmann the editorial director of GameSpot was fired from his job after his Kane and Lynch review didn't quite please the owners.
Basicly the whole site was filled with Kane and Lynch crap and Jeff gave it a average score of 6, and after reviewing the game they were definetly not happy with it, in the
video (which was removed supposedly due to the language) he gives more then enough good arguments to justify the rating, and the fact is that metacritic is on a 7, so a 6 really ain't that weird...
So far there has been no message from him on what happened, the community is really pissed off and boycotted the review for Kane and Lynch (got like a 2)
Ofcourse some say that he was fired for the right reasons, but i don't believe it, the guy been around for like 11 years, was 1 of the most popular people in the community, and 1 of the best reviewers and had a pretty high job there, so why would they fire him besides being really pissed off, because let's face it, would you want to advertise a game on a site that gave it a bad review?

GameSpot/CNET really fucked up there, and this is gonna cost them a lot more then some advertising, members have left the site in big numbers, and that plus the fact how GameSpot dealt with the problem is definetly gonna be a problem for future advertisers.
