Our first game, Creativerse, is out now!

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

Creativerse is our very first game, and you can play it now!

It’s launching as an early access title on Steam, which means it’s still unfinished. If you decide to join us in early access, you can expect regular updates introducing a ton of new content, features and bug fixes. It’s going to be an exciting ride. Hope to see you there!

Creativerse R7: The Dawn of the Rise of the Planet of the Female Avatar

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

We’re back with another exciting update. First up, now you finally have the choice to play as a female in Creativerse! Time to get in touch with your feminine side and start adventuring with an extra X chromosome (digitally speaking, of course). Speaking of characters, I’ll give a shout out to customization — we know a lot of you want it, so I wanted to mention it is on our roadmap (could be a while, though — so much to get done first!).

By popular request, we’ve added signs! You can craft and place wooden signs to display all your deepest hopes, fears and desires. Or maybe just a big “MY STUFF - KEEP OUT!” warning. But we didn’t stop there. We also added labels for teleporters and chests, which should come in handy for those of you who like to set up chest rooms made entirely of chests.

This update also introduces the first round of admin tools we’ve been promising for a while now. Worlds now have owners, who can promote players to admins, mods, builders or visitors. Those with appropriate privileges can mute, kick or even ban troublesome players. It’s the beginning of a larger system we plan to roll out which will give you full control of your world and let you open it up to anyone without risking griefer chaos.

For our builders, while we don’t have any new standard blocks this time (next time — promise!), we do have some new windows, including stone and barred varieties for sending a message in rougher neighborhoods.

Lastly, don’t miss the new death animation. We know you’ll be dying to check it out! Hahaha…I’m so, so sorry.

Full release notes are after the jump…

Creativerse just got bigger

It’s a great time to be playing Creativerse. We just released our first update and it includes a ton of new content and features. Just look at this stuff…

Plus…New Portals!

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

And…FIRE BOMBS!!!

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

And this is only scratching the surface. So hop back in to the game. Or if you’re still uninitiated, head over to the game’s Steam page to purchase an early access copy.

Climb to great heights in Creativerse R8
Hi Creatifriends,
By popular request, we’ve added ladders to Creativerse — stone and wood variety. Craft a bunch and take ‘em with you next time you go caving for easy access to the surface. Or build an awesome fort in the trees. Just make sure if you’re gonna fall off a 100ft ladder, you only fall off the first rung.

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

Also, we’ve got a new batch of blocks for you guys to decorate with. This is from our “Moroccan” themed collection, featuring blocks crafted from stalactite layer materials such as the Siltstone Wall — finally a use for all that extra siltstone you’ve been gathering! Plus, Reinforced Glass, Iron Walls and for extra fancy builds, Curled Iron Walls.

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

Lastly, we have world options that should help keep things civil on public worlds: the ability to make all new players default to visitor permissions, as well as the ability to turn off PVP and Bombs. It’s a big blow to all the griefers out there.
As always, let us know what you think of all this new stuff!
P.S. just a heads up: this will be our last update of 2014 and we will be taking a few weeks off for the holidays, so R9 won’t release until mid-January. Thanks for your patience, guys!
Full release notes are after the jump…

TL;DR - We heart you; R9 will be a little delayed; also, our gift to you: the Creativerse Alpha Soundtrack!
It’s been a little over 4 months, and we’ve already had 8 awesome releases, all of which included things directly inspired by our community, as well as an impressive number of bug fixes you helped us track down. We’re so encouraged when you rally behind us and display your passion for our game with your feedback, suggestions, screenshots, videos, bug reports, tweets, etc. You are clearly invested in our success and for that we applaud you. Like literally, we are clapping our hands right now in our little studio office. It’s actually kind of awkward.
2015 is a new year and we have so many incredible things planned for Creativerse. We really can’t wait to share it all with you! Heads up though: we’re taking a bit of a break over the holidays with some well deserved R&R for our hardworking developers. That just means R9 will be a light release, mostly bug fixes, and it’ll also be a little delayed (probably releasing mid-January). But don’t worry — we’ll get back on track with the kind of updates you’ve come to expect with R10 and BEYOND!
Finally, as a holiday gift to all of our players, we wanted to give you a selection of songs from the Music of Creativerse, Early Access edition. You can . You can even just straight up download them to your phone and annoy your relatives by playing them on a loop while stacking wrapped presents up in the shape of a shelter. “Help me get this up before the Night Leafis come, Mom!”

From all of us here at Playful, Happy Holidays!

Hi Creatifriends,
R10 adds six new blocks to the builder’s repertoire. Some are only found in rare treasure chests, others are unlocked through the normal game progression. Check out the fancy new tourmaline and diamond glass blocks:

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

The sun has gotten stronger, now piercing through the trees with bright shafts of light. Just another one of our many layers of polish to beautify the world of Creativerse.
Also, we realize the last couple updates have been on the lighter side (and R11 may be as well), but that’s because we’ve been busy working on some very big, exciting new features. We wanted to give you guys a sneak preview of some of the stuff you can look forward to seeing in the next couple months.
First, we have a whole new version of the Creativerse world in the works, with existing biomes being expanded and entirely new biomes created. Along with that will come a host of new creatures, blocks and recipe tweak to incorporate all the new stuff. Plus, actual continents and oceans! Take a look at some early screenshots…

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

We also have an overhaul of the crafting system UI, making it easier and more intuitive to use, a snazzy new main menu screen, plus a bunch of other stuff we can’t even talk about yet. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!
Finally, here’s the full patch notes for R10…

  • New extractor art and animations (including super extractor!)
  • New craftable blocks:
    • Yellow Mosaic Tile Wall (Found Recipe)
    • Red Mosaic Tile Wall (Found Recipe)
    • Blue Mosaic Tile Wall (Found Recipe)

  • Backend server optimizations
Bugfixes

  • Fix for hit effects not playing for some players in multiplayer
  • Dead players can no longer interact with things (like death statues!)
  • Extractor placement graphical glitch addressed
  • Minor description text fixes

We have a decent amount of new stuff to play with in this update. You’ll notice a big difference as soon as you enter a world. The UI has been expanded, streamlined and polished with our best Keepa oil. It affects everything – crafting, the HUD, mining, storage – making the game much more smooth and satisfying to play. We also added something we’ve been planning on from the beginning: a fuel system for the forge. We think it adds a fun layer of strategy to crafting, but don’t let that stop you from letting us know what you think.

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

Based on popular feedback, we decided to enable account-bound recipes. This means you can now bring recipes you’ve found or unlocked in your home world to others, giving you more freedom to venture out into other worlds without having to go through the recipe progression every time.
Finally, we threw a few extra things in there just for good measure: Hotfoot just got deadlier – get too close and he’ll light you on fire. Corrupt mobs also do extra damage if you get too close (introverts hate when you invade their personal space, after all). And of course, there’s always the usual helping of the entrails of bugs we’ve squashed. Thanks for all your help finding them, by the way!
Also, we tried something new this time: a short preview video that goes beyond the patch notes with a few extra details and context (some secrets, too). Watch it here:

Hi Creatifriends,
Guess what? It’s R13 time! This update gives you the fancy new Drago blocks, which harness the beauty of the lava layer with striking grace. See for yourself…

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

There are also a bunch of improvements to our simulation system, which means performance will be much smoother when working with liquid or the corruption layer. And make sure to give TNT another chance to dazzle you as the sound, explosion and damage are now synced – just like in real life! We can’t wait to see the pics you guys post of entire continents blown to smithereens!
How’s it going with those new biomes, you ask? Swimmingly! But it’s taking us a bit longer than expected. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to get things just right. (We’ll share some footage from world v2 soon to give you a glimpse of what we have in store).
Here are the patch notes…

MAXDANGER - [PC] Creativerse Online - RaGEZONE Forums

Hi Creatifriends,
This is it! This is the update you’ve all been waiting for. We’ve crammed as many new biomes, creatures and cool things as we could fit into this update. Then we threw in a few more for good measure. Rather than give you a wall of text summarizing everything, we’ll just make three points before diving into the patch notes…
1) We’re not joking – this release is massive. Normally we prefer to pace things out more, but World v2 requires you create a new world to get the new content. We want to keep to an absolute minimum occasions where we ask players to restart. On that note, you can still access and play on your old worlds, though there are a few items you’ll no longer be able to craft.
2) As big as this update is, it doesn’t quite have everything we were hoping it would. For instance, the new mobs’ attacks aren’t up to snuff compared to the usual suspects. They will get better in future updates. And we’ll likely continue to refine some of the textures and other art elements.
3) In addition to World v2, there are several changes you’ll enjoy no matter what world you’re in. For example, real flames on torches, bloom lighting effects, bigger chests, performance improvements / network optimizations for better gameplay overall and a bunch of bugfixes.
Patch notes are below. If you don’t have a chance to play this very moment, get a taste for what’s new in this . If you do have time, slap a power cell on, grab some torches and get lost!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of the new features in R14 are only available if you generate a new world! Your old worlds will still be accessible, but will be missing new content and not all recipes will be craftable.

Dearest Creatifriends,

For R16, we asked ourselves two questions: 1) How can we make R15’s movement changes a smoother ride? 2) How can we surprise and delight our players? For 1, we listened to all your helpful feedback and taught those goofy avatars how to be smooth operators. For 2, one answer was to make the world so EFFING dangerous that our players couldn’t even believe it.
Fortunately, we fired the guy who said that*, and dialed it back a bit. But we think you’ll find the world of Creativerse is just a little bit more mysterious and treacherous now. See for yourself. Take a stroll down in the lava or corruption layer, or go on hike up an ice mountain. You’ll also notice funky temperature-related things are transforming ice, lava and other materials depending on where they are. In fact, you could potentially log into your world to find an apocalyptic wasteland ruled by leather clad pigsys demanding participation in their Thunderdome (two Mirus enter, one Miru leaves).** But the world is also more beautiful now too. Watch what happens to patches of dirt over time.
Let’s talk about toys. Because R16’s got ‘em. It starts out with an extensive set of canyon themed blocks, perfect for civilizing the canyons with a vacation home, complete with a Dustevil and Trog observation deck. Then we decided to add something a select few of you have been waiting for since we teased them several months ago: FANS!!! The new movement system means these jet fueled blowers are ready for prime time (pro tip: don’t use them for drying hands). But wait, there’s more: ice slopes, which offer you a whole new way to get around. Teleporters are so 2014. These days the cool kids are slipping and sliding to home base at neck breaking speeds.
In other words, it’s time to have a blast defying heat stroke and building that mansion estate the Grand Canyon was always asking for while creating fan spiked toboggan slides down to a poisonous death in the corruption layer.

Greetings Creatifriends!

R17 was just going to be a bugfix patch. Life had other plans.
First, we got a lot of good feedback from you about R16. We’re sensitive to your concerns about Creativerse staying a creative sandbox game rather than becoming too survival focused. We still feel strongly that temperature adds a fun layer of strategy to the game, but we’ve tweaked things a bit. Now resistance potions block 100% of the environmental effects. We’ve also added a Peaceful mode that you can choose upon world creation for those of you who just want to focus on building.
Second, we ended up getting some projects done sooner than expected, which, if you know anything about software development, won’t surprise you to learn the paradox that ensued nearly unravelled the space-time continuum. Whew! So a bunch of fun stuff made its way into the game: goo blocks (JUMP AROUND!), the start of a fear and attraction system, liquid harvesting mechanics, and some extra canyon themed blocks, to name just a few. The sandbox just got a lot bigger, in other words.
Thanks again for being such awesome players and fans. Stay playful!

P.S. See some of the new stuff in action here…

In that fire bomb photo, you have a hand, but no the hand doesn't throw the fire bomb, it flys out of no where. That's just strange. There's just so many sandbox games at the moment, I don't think this one stands out very much.

The Creativerse game is one of the brightest and well-developed sandbox games I've ever met .
As I have a great friendship with its developer David. And im share the work of Playful here

What you said, happens only with ADMIN User. That is a User with development tools and uses to manipulate and make corrections on the base of the game. When logs with ordinary players do not , it happens.

Runs all animations, with the nearest degree of reality. possible.

Watch this video I did playing with my son.
When I have time I post more
