These links should help: (I just dragged in a folder of links that were in my firefox, you will need to go through them yourself to find useful information... I don't really like to spoonfeed unless it is advanced information .-. My reason for this is because if you really want to make your own private servers, you should learn the basics yourself so you understand how it works and what does what. Know your basic mechanics and then threads will be cleaner and more full of useful information ^_^ ) I am not trying to be mean about it/anything. It would honestly benefit you more if you just used search option, stickied, etc, to learn more about the topic than other members posting all the info in one thread too many. If you are lazy, you should jut wait for Sdfsdf Sdfsdf to create a huge documentary for this (once project is near completion). Otherwise, If I find the time for it, I will make a PDF Documentary for this. (With Sdfsdf Sdfsdf's permission of course).

HOW TO install MS VS 2006:

1. Simply download it (from torrent I linked previously, etc)

2. Then Google: "how to install visual studio 2006 on "(YOUR OS)""

3. Look at the first 2-3 links. Read them thoroughly.

4. Follow their instructions.

5. Profit!

6. This is better than asking how to or where to get something over 9000 times in the thread. ^_^
(Seriously, I did this and it worked out fine!)

...Do you have administrative rights on your computer? Try running Visual Studio as an administrator. Disable UAC and DEP.
The error is that VS is having issues opening up the CMD (Windows Command Line). Make sure the source code folder is not marked "read only". If you do not know how to fix this then maybe you ought to learn basic computing skills/information before starting with private servers! It would benefit you a ton. It's actually very interesting that you are getting that error. Could you tell us your computer specs, (os, __bit, etc)?

I think you use the first version of gamehi. I edit the client to use their own clan, the shop, I did zombie mode and choose dino mode. next time I'm going to server of. I'm sharing the information.

You are partly right baekho :/ there is a version befor vc 6.0 and vc 2002+2003 are called ".NET" and that means:

Vc4.0 => vc 5.0 => vc 6.0 => [vc 7.0 (2002) => vc 7.1 (2003)] VC .NET => vc 8.0 (2005) => vc 9.0 (2008) => vc 10 (2010) => vc 11 (2012)
But that's not the thread now... back to thread.

P.S. WarriorNight:
C1083 ... put the lithtech header in the correct directory or add the include if you it's missing, if it's not the mistake you should compile the stdafx first...
C1853 ... like you read you used the wrong compiler... wrong version of vc ++
