the only mode that bots keep the player skins is the assault deathmatch mode,even if they die and respawn,in the others after swtich sides they use generic ct and t skins
Yeah, actually it's how teamchange works in all Valve games for official CPU controlled players (Z bots).
By default CS gives to any zbot default model: gign for CT, leet for TR.
And this comes far-far away from 2003, since Condition Zero with first Z bot out.
So i think there is no way to fix it, with real players everything is OK.



BTW, new launcher version now comes with integrated console.
Press tilde while ingame to call CoD style console and enter commands.
Much easier now to add/remove items.

Does CSO2 have any sort of experience or progression systems like AVA/Special Force/etc? Debating how much time I want to spend fiddling with DB creation and the presence of something like experience gain would help motivate me :)

Hmmm, the game closed about year ago, but website still works...




There are alot of db-related issues that have to be addressed; registration and encryption or else anyone can simple log into any user accounts.

Those things will take a while.
I found on youtube your channel xD. Nice actually, too much good info.

CSO2 has a progressive leveling + VIP system. Max level @ 99.

It'd be great if you're able to get it working and give your thoughts on the developer's GitHub.

Um the launcher still needs updating. It doesn't support -enablecustom, -lang english and -decryptedfiles. Mine crashes badly and it only works if you don't apply those listed arguments.

Actually we can use previous build, works fine:



Just unpacked whole client and looks like everything can be changed.
Even player models, kill effects, ingame hud.
The ingame location of hud (a lot of PNG files) :

ui_gfx\assets\img_all

Do you reckon creating custom weapons (not reskins) is possible?

Yeah. Maybe reanimate them and make the models hd
Replacing the original weapons, players, and other models is possible but I think adding new guns isn't.

work for me

Did you put the Arguments in the launcher? The -lang english -enablecustom -decryptedfiles? If not, the launcher works fine but loads the original content, not the modified content

Okay I get what method you are using .. its using cso2_english.txt inside Data/cstrike/resource/

but still I won't be using that method because I'm using a custom botprofile.db so bots can use every player model.

place botprofile.db in Data\cstrike\scripts\

you share you botprofile.db?

I still like the serverside custom folder instead of adding another internal folder just for that files that's why I need the three arguments -lang -enablecustom -decryptedfiles
