Emil Chronicle Online Server Guide [English] originally from ainbax

What will we need?
1. .NET Framework 3.5:

You must be registered to see links

2. MySQL:

You must be registered to see links

3. SagaEco Emulator files:

You must be registered to see links

4. Navicat Lite 8.0 [MySQL]:

You must be registered to see links

1. Compile all the required files in a folder.

2. Install MySQL

Here, you can choose anywhere for the path you want.

Input the password (Put saga for the emulator configs default but you can change it)

3. Install Navicat

4. Inside the Navicat

Create new database named sagaeco in the connection

Rightclick on the sagaeco database and choose Execute Bath file. Open the main.sql file and start it to import the tables.

5. Create an Account on the CreatorAccount file.

6. Start the Login.exe and Map.exe

If this kind of pic is what you see, then your emulator is good to go.

7. You can configure Server connections on Sagalogin.xml and Sagamap.xml inside the Configs folder

8. Open SagaMap.xml and fing <language>Chinese</language> then change it to English

9. If you are using the ECO SG client, find <Version>Saga</Version> then put <Version>Saga7</Version> to avoid the blackscreen issue.

10. Open server.lst on your ECO folder with your favorite txt editor and edit the server name and IP.

ex.
Enkore, 192.168.1.100:12000 or Enkore,127.0.0.1:12000 (both localhost)

Start the client and enjoy!

Note: The emulator is still on alpha phase so expect BUGS and such.

I have sen only Chinese/Korean Clients. But you can translate interface easly, quests, npc are harder

but the thing is that is it that easy to make it in english so that we can make it playable by non korean chinese gamers

The game is indeed good. We just need English developers and some translators.

You can translate the interface to English when you use ECO SG Client but the NPC dialogues are still chinese. Yes, the scripts of the emulator is compiled into .dll so we will need to decompile it in able to change the npc dialogues server-side. Also, when you use SG client, known bugs are the skills point is inaccurate and the stat system don;t work so you can just explore the game.

I also do have a test server for this but only to experiment things. I may open it just for demo purposes.

I just found out that the skill and stat system is working fine on Japanese Client which is saga 9 I think. The problem is, we are in lack of translators. *sigh

I'm trying to contact the project leader of the emu to ask if he can establish an english community for the project. Let's hope he gets online soon.

The emulator is really ment for Japanese client since it is the most updated but still, it supports previous saga but there are bugs.

Pro did you find any way to open up the scripts of NPC dialogues for us to translate it using the latest revision?
