Make sure that:

Is added to your hosts file.

The strange thing is that all IPs are correct in all places.

I suspect it is java, How OS are you using, and how version of java?

I use Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64. Use the command:

apt-get install openjdk-6-jre

Then copy the files from /HoTK/lib/ to /usr/lib/.

Restart your server before trying to start the server again.

Does it run better than the perfect world server ? Any long time tests available ? What database is it using for the gamedbd service ? Is it also using berkeley ?
What specs for running a full server with these files ?
When does Zorno stop asking stupid questions ?

The specs are the same as Jade Dynasty. Around 4GB+ RAM should do well as a bare minimum. It doesn't run as well as Perfect World as, the same as Jade Dynasty, these are re-created server files from the Perfect World server binaries. So of course, it won't run as well as Perfect World.

Update on the client situation: I have yet to start work on the client, as I have no server to test the connection on. So that'll have to wait for a while, sorry.

Berkeley is the format of the gamedbd filebased database. You should know this when you run such a server ( sometimes such info can help you out of hard situations )

Sorry, I'm not as up-to-date with all the file formats of the database(s). I usually just leave them alone, best not to break anything xD I'm not an Aesthetic Perfectionist ;]

I have no working client link, I do not know what version these files are for and I do not know what weapon classes are available.

i got another serverfiles fully working ! client its chibi online...aka red cliff..i cant get a red cliff client for the moment in english..the website its down..hotk isnt compatile with the serverfiles
