I have seen alot of debate on fourms about making a mmo our of mysql and no-sql and most say to use no sql + websockets. then theres a few that say mysql is fine.. but i want to ask this fourm since this is where it all happens.
1. i dont want to run anything crazy. i want to do a simple 2d mmorpg. and i was wondering if php and mysql is good enough or use websockets and no-sql.
2. would a webhosting site be good enough for a php and mysql? or i was thinking about buying a dedicated server.
