Running everything requires between 32 and 48GB of RAM. And even if you had that your CPU would probably cap out. Don't expect to run the whole thing on one machine at once.
I have 24gb Tripple Channel Ram and s1366 i7-920 and even with that ram I can't load it all at once, I can however wait 5-10 minutes and start a new bunch of zones, then wait again for ram to be dumped to the swap file and start more zones. But I can't get all open yet. 16gb of ram you can open most world zones and most games and several hard mode ini.
All started locations would consume more, than 120-150 GB(for 1 channel) - 1gb*count.
Other question, that you can use virtual memory for it, but it would take alot of CPU.
Hello. I have a small problem... The Global.ini is supposed to look like this :
;--------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Setting for internet ;---------------------------------------------------------------------
;Settting for host to allow internet client to connect in ServerListIP_Outside = external IP here ServerListCliPort = 21002
;offer to internet client to connect to switch SwitchIP_Outside = external IP here Switch_CliPort = 16401
;offer to internet client to connect to proxy ProxyIP_Outside = external IP here Proxy_CliPort = 16402
;--------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Setting for local lan ;---------------------------------------------------------------------
;Setting for host to allow switch to connect in AccountIP = internal IP here AccountPort = 21000
;Setting for host to allow switch to connect in ServerListIP = internal IP here ServerListSrvPort = 21001
;Setting for host to allow other server or proxy to connect in SwitchIP = internal IP here Switch_ProxyPort = 18000 Switch_GSrvPort = 19000
;Setting for host to allow other server to connect in ProxyIP = internal IP here Proxy_GSrvPort = 15000
;offer to connect to gateway GatewayIP = internal IP here GatewayPort = 15100 Gateway_SwitchPort = 11000
But it doesn't work... Even in LAN we get the message "Connection lost... blablabla". So we changed the "Setting for internet"by replacing the external ip by the local ip of the server. Now in LAN it works like a charm. We get the server list and we can go in game. But if we try to connect from outside of the LAN (Thank No-ip.com), the client get the server list, it display it correctly but when we select a server on this list : "Connecting to server" during 30 seconds and then "Connection lost..." We opened the corrects port on our box and in the firewall of the server. We running this on a Dell PowerEdge with Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter Edition.
This config works very well in LAN :
;--------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Setting for internet ;---------------------------------------------------------------------
;Settting for host to allow internet client to connect in ServerListIP_Outside = internal IP here ServerListCliPort = 21002
;offer to internet client to connect to switch SwitchIP_Outside = internal IP here Switch_CliPort = 16401
;offer to internet client to connect to proxy ProxyIP_Outside = internal IP here Proxy_CliPort = 16402
But only display server list and go byebye when we try to connect from outside.
Other funny thing, if we put it like this :
;--------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Setting for internet ;---------------------------------------------------------------------
;Settting for host to allow internet client to connect in ServerListIP_Outside = external IP here ServerListCliPort = 21002
;offer to internet client to connect to switch SwitchIP_Outside = external IP here Switch_CliPort = 16401
;offer to internet client to connect to proxy ProxyIP_Outside = external IP here Proxy_CliPort = 16402
In LAN it doen't work anymore. No server list, nothing. But from outside display Server list but nothing more.
We are 3 friends who played a while on official serveur before Gameforge ruined it by excessive price, but we live far away from each other so if we can manage to make the connection by internet work it would be awsome.
Thank in advance for your help.

More people have the same problem as you, me too. I have tried a lot of configs, include cheat engine but don't work. I'm waiting for a good tuto with a external connection, but now only I can get a external connection with hamachi https://forum.ragezone.com/f886/rom-6-0-7-hamachi-1056123/
Ive tried exposing my server to the internet and same issues, but a mate suggested to me might be modem preventing it from working. Not sure since I only have one modem to use. Im happy with Hamachi, only use server for test DPS on various class combinations with a couple of mates, plus learn how server works.
Thank. I'll do more easy for me, L2TP VPN and voila But i'll investigate on this issue to find what's wrong. I'm a software programmer, my friend is network admin so i'm sure we'll find a solution ^^

If you followed the guide the server should be setup in C:\Runewaker and all those *.ini files should be in C:\Runewaker\Server\Realm_01_Common .....\Realm_01_Service .....\Realm_01_Zone
Hey,
I try to follow the Guide but i dont Understand how to do Step 3.3. When i look into my File "C:\Runewaker\DATA" there a no default location for created Database Files. I dont delect anything of this File.
And maybe can you explain me Step 3.3.2 SQL files with primary data - open and execut each file.
How can i open and execut a file?
Choose yourself import slow way via importing the text database scripts, or the faster way using the binary files. When I imported I used the slow method.
