It cannot happen, unless they physically Block port 1433 or configure the Default that I show in the video to something else.
This is what I keep referring to.
It is physically Impossible.
What I'm saying is. If they followed the video. They Did set it to 1433... that is the definite bottom line.
There is no physical way the Static can now be different Unless blocked by the Firewall on Purpose.
There is nothing further to say one way or the other.
Bottom line. Impossible.
I never said the Static Port will be changed.
Okay last try to explain it with an example:
1. Stop your SQL Server
2. Start a Server Program and change the Port to 1433
3. Start your SQL Server again.
Your SQL Server will run but NOT on Port 1433.
Use this Query:
Code:
USE master
Go
xp_readerrorlog 0, 1, N'Server is listening on', 'any', NULL, NULL, N'asc'
GO
There you will see, that your SQL Server is running on Port 49166.
Why does this happen? Because with the 0 in the Dynamic Port you enabled Dynamic Ports.
If your SQL Server is unable to bind on Port 1433 it will then try to use a Dynamic Port
which you can change in the IPAll Section:
And now pls don't tell me i'm wrong....
