Anyone know how to fix the low damage from monsters ?

The only problem i have with the server is the low damage i get from monsters. i only got 1-2 damage points from monsters where there should be more like 20-23 points (saw some youtube lets plays) in the starting desert zone. i dont think its normal and retail like.
