it always says logon failure on all things or authentication failure

simple enough, if you dont mind a "close-to-be-cynic" comment:

grab a ms-dos bootdisk from win98:

format c: /autotest

and then start over until you can get it right. theres no trick there about installing sql (nor in the format command). :crash:
