No guide because I havn't tested it.

Game works, thanks for sharing :). We need some English language files though, or translation work to begin for the client. Haven't tested much yet so no buglist.

The installation guide is in the files.

NOTE to people trying to log in - passwords are in MD5. You will need to run the following query to make an account using MD5 (or just use a text-to-MD5 generator):

Code:
USE TGLOBAL_GSPGOINSERT INTO TACCOUNT(szUserID, szPasswd, bCheck) VALUES('usernameHere', CONVERT (VARCHAR(32), HashBytes('MD5', 'passwordHere'), 2), 0);GO

One bug found - if part-way through the tutorial, if you leave the tutorial, sometimes when you spawn in the main world you have no interface or buttons to click. Had to Ctrl+Alt+Delete to go back to main menu, then log in again to fix.

- - - Updated - - -

Translating the client now. 380 strings translated so far.

:) Yeah I used instructions.rtf already to get it working, lol.

It's not quite English-supported. The server has English as a supported language, but the client is Chinese. Changing the flags from CN to EN is for server locale, it doesn't load English strings. Also, the English client is newer than the one in the files, so we cannot directly port over the English string data. I'm manually editing each string in TString.tcd at the moment. Up to 824.

- - - Updated - - -

Slight issue - string data indexes seem to have shifted so now I'm having to manually analyse and piece together multiple pieces of string data to translate. Will take a bit longer than expected. Up to string 990.

- - Updated - - -
Translation issue - the CN client seems to chop the ends off some string data. Anyone know how to fix this via hexing etc? Picture of this issue and partial translations below (look at chat channels, they should be 'All', 'General', 'Whisper' etc, but cut it off. Same with the quest logs, they are set to '(Complete)' but have cut off the final ) ?

This guy is crazy haha but thank you so much for translating all of those by solo. Well I could help with translating too and can host a test server for everyone.

Cheers haha, :). Yeah I'm a bit of a code slave when I get started. I would really appreciate help translating the NPC strings before I get around to it? We should all decide on which NPC files we look at so we don't end up doubling up on work :).

TNPC editor -
NPC List from DB -

Files location - client\BinClientTW\Tcd - look for all the TNPC .tcd file. I've added some DB output of the NPC List (see above) to help us out. You just need to use the editor to open each TCD, look at which NPC ID each string looks at (20012 for example), then look for it in the list of DB output.

Another thing I noticed from translating is that the files have 99.5% of all objects with names, but there are some objects/NPCs/monsters without names, only very few. For those rare cases, use this link - - and just change '771' to be the ID of that string. It should give you a name of the object and you can use that in the string.

Thanks for helping out :eek:tt:.

Okay so I have to be honest that I am not in my place right now and it's really hard to do the translation without a mouse(I only brought my laptop here lol). But, I have have server machine that we can host this game to for everyone who wants to try this. We just have to code a temporary registration link for everyone. If you guys quote me with a positive feedback then let's turn this cute game up!

Sounds like a good idea to test some of the multiplayer functionalities too, I'm in. Fluent English speaker?

An issue I've found with translations so far... some of my editors don't load the tcd files, presumably because the indexes don't match the format the editor expects. This means I might need to manually edit via Wordpad and that is going to bleed my eyes dry, LOL. But we will see how it goes and what else I might be able to translate...

Positive note about translations - so far, porting over the English TRegion.tcd from the latest client into this CN client works perfectly. Regions seem to all have correct names now saving me translating. Joy!

AnthonyX Got some great news for everyone. I found an English client near the version of this Chinese one and I've successfully managed to port over the English files without changing protocols etc.

Expect a new release topic for my modified English client tomorrow as it will take a few hours to upload. Maps, NPC names, monsters, objects... all English.

Testing time is upon us.

OMG! Sound good bro! So I don't need to continue my work on translation a ton of chinese texts.
I don't know this game or play it before. But a new release in English will be better than my release.
Thanks for hard work.
