Yes you can build a lan server with default ip 127.0.0.1 but on mapserverinfo ,connect server ,iplist and in main u need your lan ip is something like 192.168.x.x

check in your joinserver config for md5 option and if it looks fine and still not working try without md5 and if it works then it must be some wrong configs or md5 dll missing from sql folder
