I've actually been putting a fair bit of thought into the concept of a legacy server... but the idea of going through all of the effort to get a client that has things like settings, widescreen and such (just for the sake of keeping up with times/technology a little) is something i dont really...

I agree :) but from my experience if you build a server properly and unique (in more ways than one) i think a server could survive...i've seen it done it successfully with other games in a past. I don't see myself being capable of adding t5/classes on my own anytime soon anyway since i have 0...

Curious if there is any stable releases that have regular features like widescreen and such...all i can seem to find is alot of back and forth posts :). Could care less about t5 and new classes since imo they all suck.

Sounds like they arent being given permission, check hotuk make sure ur debugging their id's and idk if caps or not matter but follow all format, caps and lowercase letters.

Not sure if im understanding right, but if u have your server using your LAN/WAN ip...thats the IP everyone has to use to connect...unless your playing from the host pc, which would use 127.0.0.1 (localhost) regardless of what IP is used in the hotuk.

might i ask which game repack ur using? if ur using the mpt one sunny included in his VM upload, then ur just missing permissions somewhere (if i recall, that server only has the hotuk settings, nothing more.). Easiest way for me to get it to work was getting it to work exactly as it was shared...

did you apply the client patch? (link can be found on first page, i think 3rd or 4th post) without that patch u wont get far.

none of these files have been modified since 2014... which doesn't sound fishy to most people...but it does to me...since that would mean that absolutly nothing has been done to this server since 2014...the files can easily be changed to reflect an older date...and i may be wrong on this...but...
