Can someone explain me how Patchmaker.exe and SelfExtract.exe works?

yes I edited update.inf. But I have not edited vcfile Is it necessary to edit vcfile? If i have to change something, what do I have to edit?

my patch and client version are the same and everything works fine. 2.x.x was only a example. the only thing i want to know is how to set up patches on the web server so others can download it.

I can start the game with the launcher (client.exe), but I cannot upload and download patches. I would like to know how I can upload a patch so that other players can download it. Is this also done with the web server?

Okeei i have only 2.0.0 and cant find a download for a other client version :/ then i patch it from 2.0.0 to 6.xx i hope this will work xD and yes it will probably take a lot of time^^

And when i take a other client version? 2.0, 3.0 or 4.0? Will this also work?
