Definitely looks better but 4x increased texture means bigger client and more RAM usage. So you'll have to see if it's worth it.

Nice release. I had the same idea a while ago and added it to FGunZ although using date as switch so it enables the effects automatically for certain dates and we don't have to push any .exe updates nor restart the server to enable/disable it. There's better ways but it works.

Your maps could need a skybox and an improved lightmap. By the way: Skillmaps are by far the most popular custom maps, maybe you could make some of those. A medstyle map would be pretty special.

I don't get why you used that web if it was that bad. You could have used any other web which was not that 'suck'. I'd have liked to see a preview of your 'improved' design though (mine did well imo). But I guess this thread can be closed anyway, OP removed the download link. ^
